Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

This is my most recent track with a 5m Peak 4 and Axis 680 (1120cm2) Surf/Sup foil. Wind was apparently 13 knots according to Waterspeed app. No idea where they pull their wind data from. I am about 95kg/ 200lbs. The Peak is certainly no worse upwind than a low aspect wave LEI - say my BWS Aeneema t...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

Love my Peak — I have the 5m and it’s my main kite for foiling. Currently riding an Axis S foil with the 680 wing. One of my favourite things to do is to catch the “downwinder bus” with all the paddlers up the coast and kite back. No need to take a pump - it’s so simple to use. I’ve crashed mine a f...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Our local importer shot this video of the 8m Peak in very light wind recently. Gives an indication of what’s possible. I’ve had both Speed 3 and Speed 4 21’s, Sonic 18’s and the Peaks are extraordinary.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hey guys. I've read all 61 pages of this to topic and I have some doubt about Peak 4 8m. I'm 81 kg and my equipment is 155 cm foil board with SS NF2 hover glide freeride wing H5 (700). Goal: Cruising around , no jump, no race, maybe later surf some small waves. The reason I think the Peak 4 maybe s...

Re: Best hydrofoil wave kite: ConceptAir Firefly vs. Flysurfer Peak 4

I am a Peak 4 owner and a bit out of touch with the latest developments of the hybrids like the FF. This may not be the appropriate thread either - apologies. I have seen pictures of the Gin Marabou, smallest is a 4.0 I believe. Is anyone able to comments on the FF v Marabou ? If Marc Blanc is ridin...

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2020

I think 2020 will see a growing appreciation of how good single skins can be with hydrofoiling. I’m a new Peak 4 owner and the thought of having to pump a kite up now is horrifying. I love the ease at which the Peak gets me onto the water. We have 3 regular Peak riders at my spot now. I’ve also used...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Rode my Peak 4 5m with a surfboard in 18 odd knots and solid swell for a downwinder today. Was thrilled to find it worked as well if not better than my wave kites. The instant off depower seemed more pronounced on the SB but super handy on a wave to be able to shut off the kite. I wasn’t riding down...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I got my first Peak ( and FC bar) today - I’ve ridden the P4 5m twice and was able to purchase one today. I’ve not ridden the 4 yet but expect I’ll probably get one eventually. I’m heavy at 95kg and riding axis S foil 680 wing. My local spot is a ocean / flat water (wind chop <1ft), typically 18-22...

Re: Best hydrofoil wave kite: ConceptAir Firefly vs. Flysurfer Peak 4

Excellent video Horst. I especially love the unhooked riding with slack likes - proper wave foiling. Our regular downwinder is approx 10km among metropolitan beaches here in Perth, WA. Our waves are Lefts which suits me as I’m goofy too. I will try and demo a Peak 4 from our local shop - they have a...
