Re: Best Kite GP V6 2017

Great freestyle kite, very stable (not twitchy), slacks well. The kite jumps well when powered and with that I mean REALLY powered, with my 9m I need 35+ knots to really go big and I weigh around 78kg. It's low-end is pretty bad overall but it's high-end is endless (had the 9m out yesterday in 42kn ...

Re: Big Kiteloops always end in an enema

Go higher and don't loop in to low wind, that's a nice way to destroy your knees. I looped my kite a few months ago in 27-28 knots and because I wasn't high enough (6-7m) I hit the backside of a wave full on and my knees hurt for a week.

Re: Best hurricane ultra high wind 40 plus knot kite

7m 5 line c kite, north vegas, best gp, airush razor, naish torch, etc. These kites are easy to handle, stable, not too twitchy and depower great on both the bar and by edging hard. Better than any bridled kite in 40+ kn.

Re: New Ride Engine harness review

I'm using the RE for the same purposes as you and yes it's great for freestyle/bigair, way better when riding overpowered. I never have a sore back anymore after an overpowered session. For the leash there's the D-rings on the side, they are 'ok', not great but I guess they'll do for a while. You ca...

Re: Eleveight kites

The plastic inserts in the best bars are pretty good with a plain old rope, my GP bars seem to last forever and I never have to replace my depower rope. If they use the same inserts here I expect these depower roaps not to wear either.

Re: Bomb proof kiteboard

The carbon F-one boards are notorious for breaking, a buddy of mine bought a trax carbon 2012 and has received new ones up to this year every time he broke them (new model every time as well). This year he was tired of it and went for a non-carbon version.

Re: Bomb proof kiteboard

The best profanity 2015 had a relatively low rocker line for a wakestyle board (4.5cm), could be an option if you can find one.

Re: Eleveight kites

First year for them and the FS is a bit of a freestyle kite, not a full C ofcourse but it's like the Cab FX, Best TS (doh), Slingshot RPM.

Re: Choosing equipment

Go for the LF Wow, it's cheaper, newer and no ridiculous octopus one-pump system. For the bar you'll need a 4 line bar, not at 5th line bar like the one you mentioned. Go for something with a linelength of 22-24m, longer makes kites unresponsive. For the board the Best Spark would be the best, the g...

Re: Kite Loops

Always sheet in when looping a kite, a kite doesn't turn properly when depowered (sheeted out). Sheet out after the loop to bring the kite back to 12. Yesterday I did a loop at around 7m height and I hit the backside of a wave on landing, my knee is kinda hurting but it seems like nothing is broken/...
