I mostly got what you were saying but what does "collect little freddy with their lines" mean? I'm not sure that selling out of a retail establishment really makes that much difference to someone who's got their mind set on riding no matter what. Sucky situation though, I hope your beach stays open ...

I really like that advice because I was wondering about better kite technique. Also, I've found that a large board for learning really helps at building the skills you need because you're not always sinking everytime you make a mistake with the kite. I've been using a 6' Naish TT and even though it'...

You guys whine too much. People pay more for style all the time, think about Oakley or nike sunglasses and shoes.

As for the pink board, if you're flaming on land you might as well flame on the water too! Best just understands their customer base better than you do. :thumb:

Not even. I skated for 10 years and was pretty good (7 out of 10) and never saw anything more than a serious sprained ankle. Even breaking a limb really isn't that much compared to what might happen in a sudden gust. Kiteboarding rocks man, but there's a real risk. Like riding a motorcycle, you're c...

Skateboarding is NOT 10x more dangerous. The reason I like skateboarding as an intro sport is that when you do something risky it lets you know right away (you fall and get a bruise for instance). That way you learn about risk management and get a feeling for what kinds of risks you're willing to ta...

is the "eject" system for releasing the leash that crappy velcro type like on the old bar or is it a more failsafe type (like a tube over pin)? The reason I ask is that my rear line kiteleash got stuck on the bar when I wanted to ditch the kite and the thing sent my kite into a death spiral pulling ...

Man, sounds cool but risky at the same time. What's wrong with getting him into skateboarding or something first? I skated for 10 years before hitting the kite and I don't regret a minute of it. The problem with limiting kiting to certain wind speeds is that you have no control over gusts and whatno...
