Re: Upwind learning question

From my small foiling xperience only I can tell you is that for going upwind u just need to build up speed and foil just flies upwind itself. If not enough speed it just does "the crazy dolphin" it goes up and down without control.

Re: unbowtieing kite in ultra gust conditions tips?

The wind normally comes from the left of the pic. I tried to upload a vid taken at that spot but it was impossible :angryfire: But i have never been in danger with the kite pulling me downhill or something. The problem is there blow some kind of strange "twister gusts" that don't last more than 2-3 ...

Here is a pic from the spot, judge yourself.

For me it looks like a good spot but maybe just because i have never been in a good snowkite spot

Re: unbowtieing kite in ultra gust conditions tips?

Thanks for the replies. Mine is a 2014 5th line model but i would try it anyway. I also thought going inflatable but in the place i kite there are some objects like rocks and signs where kite could crash and acces are stronger enough (at least since now) to resist that. Also i need to do a big walk ...

unbowtieing kite in ultra gust conditions tips?

Hi snowkiters. I live in a relatively warmer country and the only chance to find snow is going very high in the mountains. The problem is right there wind is a total shit. Can go from 10 to 40 knots in seconds and changing direction from time to time. I use a 6m Ozone acces which is the most stable ...

Re: Best 7m C-hybrid kite fo hooked in freestyle/learn kitel

This going to be my kite for Leucate where wind often is blowing hard, and want to replace my old cabrinha convert 7m. It's not a bad kite, but performs better at it's low-end rather than in it's top-end. Less tan 30 knots I'm riding my 9m evo.

Best 7m C-hybrid kite fo hooked in freestyle/learn kiteloops

Hi Kiters, I'm looking for a kite for learning to do my first kiteloops and asking pro-riders on my spot said me that I need something more C-styled than I have because if I try it with my bow/delta kites and i fail the crash could be painful. Right now i'm able to jump with confidence at least 5m w...

Re: Flysurfer speed 4 lotus back stalling

Forgive muy stupidness if it is but as a lotus user in very light wind i just fix that depowering the kite a bit. Remember that foil kites need to "breath" more tan inflatables so just sheet the bar a little less htan u do with inflatables

Re: Learning in chop and waves

I normally ride next to a boat entrance/exit and choppy is always there. My advice is to put a backstrap on the board, just for positioning the board until ur ready to waterstart, after slip off strap just before powerstroke and u will never have any problems (I never use back strap to ride, is too ...
