Why isn't sliding rope bar more prevalent?

I bought a Dynabar months after I first started years ago b/c it just made sense to me to have more freedom. I'm more advanced now and really don't know any better. I'm mostly hydrofoiling now and the only thing that is weird to me is when I boost big on the hydrofoil I may go into unintended frontr...

Re: Kite for hydro foiling in weak winds + flight position

I'm reading up to understand which kite to use for hydro foil in weak winds. I get confused, some brands claim their hydro foil dedicated kite flies forward in the wind window, others say their kite flies deeper back. And both claim their flight position is the best. Strange. Since this is about ae...

Re: Day 1 Finished - King of the Air 2019 - all info here

Toby, I didn't get to watch, but I saw you stated Marc likes right foot forward better...do you think that is more for the rotations in the air or for the height? I find it weird on kickers they would have trouble getting the height they need on their bad stance. I'd think they have the time and per...

Re: Wider foot pads and straps

I wear a 13 sized Nike running shoe in the US. I got lucky with my first board b/c it had the slingshot bolt on straps. I will always use them as long as they are available. They are big, the straps are flexible and easily expandable during riding. My big foot doesn't hang off them either....these a...

Re: Ram air caught in surf disaster

I know this is a troll thread, but here is my honest thoughts anyway.......I bought a 16m Pansh Aurora II foil kite 6 months ago to dip my toe into foil kites. First of all the kite sucks balls for foiling in light winds, it is so slow I am honestly better off on a 12m LEI in 10 knots. I LOVE boosti...

Re: Switch Helium 3

Thanks very much for taking time to write. Just have to ask why did you try the H3 16 if you have the Contra 17? I think I understand though, always looking for something better? That's how I am too. The allure of a very capable kite at that price is very tempting! alford, My 17 Contra is a great k...

Re: Accident at Kite Beach, Bloubergstrand, South Africa

The issue I see most dangerous when launching people is they stand way too far upwind of the kite. This happens every single time there are a bunch of people at our site. Even experienced kiters get lazy doing this or excitement to get on the water. It's not a big deal in 15 knots, but once you pass...

Re: King of the Air 2019 - all info here - riders confirmed

Did anyone see the injury Steven Akkersdijk suffered recently when his foil got caught in his lines and a wave hit his kite and slammed him into the foil? Dear god it looked like someone tried to slice his foot off for a meal. If I was him I'd take this year off. The stitching was on his IG account ...
