Did anyone ever ride that big thing?

Looks heavy enough to need 20 knots just to get into the air.

Re: Smallest possible LEI kite size for best low end

Long lines make a huge difference during re-launch. I moved from 20m lines and 13 m kite to 32m lines and 10m kite.

Re: Cloud Kites A Caution

I have owned 7/9/12/14.5/17/17 C2, 3.5/5.5/8.5.13.5 .5's, 3.7/4.8/6.2/8/10.4/13.4 D's and have only worn out the main canopy on the 12m C2 due to scraping sand etc on self launches. I certainly had to have higher pressure in the 17 C2 and 13.5 to avoid wingtip bending. But they were dragging 105kg a...

Re: Proof world sailing is trying to take kiteboarding for its own financial gain.

How do you think this will impact the local kiter at their local wave spot or lake or bay? (Purely recreational kiter, which probably represents 95% of us)

Re: Will we see the first foil kite at King of the Air 2019?

Using jump three as an example, I figure Oli could do about 20 or 30 airstyle tricks and win the entire competition with one jump.

Re: Mast length....?

I ride a few different foils and I found 90cm too long (too slow to react), 55cm to short (too easy to breach) and settled on 70cm/75cm for flat water and surf.

Re: What is kitesurfing for you? This it is for me

Getting way to complex .... Toby found a nice place to live: where he can kite: used his education and smarts to start a forum associated with his passion; essentially gets paid to do it. Love it. I enjoy my work and use it to pay for my kites and home next to a big lake and beaches, so I can indulg...

Okay, I thought maybe you meant it was 43cm wide. Is the lower wind performance equal to the 165 Mako ? I'm quite interested in a Nomad so thanks much for your input.
I found them roughly equivalent.

Re: nomad TT CARBON WAVES 140X41

Absolutely fantastic TT is waves. I have the non-carbon version ~150x48. I ride surfboards and this TT in the waves, and I am happy to ride either. Toeside/healside on the waves are great, popping over waves is super easy. Mine is large enough to surf the wave with almost no kite power. You cannot ...

What do you think of the pads-footstraps worth buying or just the board?
Never given any footpads much thought, but they work fine.
