Re: Who designs Takoon's kites?

Have anyone used the new released single strut from takoon called OneLight?
There isnt much on the web to search on but I am interested on a 12m for foiling in light winds and how it compares to other single struts.

Re: Kite Hydro-Foiling Tutorial (bodydrag, taxi, microflights, long flights, gear, conditions, mistakes)

Agree, a really good tutorial :thumb: Eventhough one detail, the start shown having the front hand on the board, does work when using straps - but IMO using the backhand is way better, as this is how you are gonna do it anyways, when you move on to strapless, like more than one third of all kitefoi...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Aluula is a separate company that will be selling material to all kite brands right? I wonder, how come no other brand even mentions that they will be making aluula kites? they probably could buy the same material today just like Ocean Rodeo. Same question for me. Are all others staying at the wind...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hey guys. I've read all 61 pages of this to topic and I have some doubt about Peak 4 8m. I'm 81 kg and my equipment is 155 cm foil board with SS NF2 hover glide freeride wing H5 (700). Goal: Cruising around , no jump, no race, maybe later surf some small waves. The reason I think the Peak 4 maybe s...

Re: Cheap(ish) kite destination

Go to the east coast of Ceara in Brazil. I can give you a few tips how to pay very cheap on accomodation. Classes are very cheap also. The instructors are local humble people not big foreign brand schools. I can name a few like Parajuru, Fortim, Icapui. I am from Fortaleza and still havent been to e...

Re: Jibe technique

I think I will give the duotone 1250 a go. It seems to be not too thick, so hopefully drag/speed loss will not be too dramatic and stability will be a bit better. Don't get me wrong, jibes in both directions are 95% safe, but always with a bit of slack and tricky. But can mostly go quickly upwind t...

Re: Ride Engine/Slingshot Bat Wing/H4 vs. NF2/H5

Look at the new Slingshot Apollo 60 wing. It's got great low end, good speed potential and carves beautifully. I love mine - I'm addicted to riding it. I was on the H5 as well. Compared to the Apollo, the black friday price for the bat wing seems unbeatable. At least until the price for the Apollo ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

What is the low end for the 11m? Can it handle lulls staying up in the air?

Hand screw connecting mast to board

Just used four M6 thumb screws on a mast plate to connect to the board. I found it really easy and convenient to assemble and disassemble, dismissing the big screw driver I used to keep on my bag. I think there is minimal impact on riding the board flat and none after rise on water. It would also he...
