Re: Saddest in the history of the surf sport - Drama in the Netherlands

Translate by Google They were bodysurfers with swim fins. In any case, part of the fatalities, which ran into problems at the Northern Harbor Head in Scheveningen on Monday evening, were themselves experienced rescue swimmer. The group had taken to the sea with a bodyboard to exercise in tough condi...

Re: Foil Tech Talk: Stabilisers

Long fuselage + small stab = Short fuselage + big stab ?
I had just opened a topic about this but I have not really received a good answer. But soon I can experience it in practice because I have both, small stab and short fuselage.
Do you have an answer for this?

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

I went from the big Karver stab (280cm2) to the smaller XS2 stab (180cm2) and now I foiled about 6 times this stab in combination with the 1200cm2 wing. Thought it would be much more difficult. That isn't. The gain in maneuverability is really impressive. Great for carving. Much more fun. Only foot ...

Re: Gong Strutless V3 versus Cloud

Last week I flew my friend’s newest generation 8m Cloud Kite. Comparing the 8m Cloud to my 8m Gong v3 Strutless: The Gong has a higher Aspect Ratio design than the Cloud. The Gong weighs about 1 1/4 lbs more than the Cloud. The Gong is a fraction of the price of the Cloud. The Gong has a good backp...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

Why don't you buy a 8m2 Peak for even better low end instead of a 4m2?
I thought that you always used a 170cm2 stab for the Ketos but I see you have now a bigger one (carver?).

Re: Beginner: Pulsion+Ketos+Nugget or Marabou+SlingShot HG+Converter or DwarfCraft

It would be interesting to compare the Ketos weight to a Gong Freewave after an upgrade to the Pro M 100cm mast/fuselage/ Freewave pack (4.3Kg) of the Pro M 100cm which is 2.6 kg, allowing the removing of the fuselage and plate - just can’t tell the weight of those two parts to make the subtraction...

Re: Beginner: Pulsion+Ketos+Nugget or Marabou+SlingShot HG+Converter or DwarfCraft

Agree with Lebast. A lot of people destroy their first foil. Ketos is maybe the most beautifull foil money can buy and not cheap. Better to buy this foil after you learned it a bit.

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

I already ordered and will receive a new small stab XS2 tommorow. :D
Peter, you already have a small stab. So I assume you will order the new short fuselage from Ketos
Please give us a review when you can :remybussi:

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

So, a long fuselage with a small stab is fast and maneuverable but less stable then a short fuselage with a big stab which is slow but maneuverable and stable.
But a long fuselage gives because of his lenght already more stabilty?

Re: Shorter fuselage or smaller stab?

@ Purdyd. Ketos wings and stabs are very well balanced. Never heard that anyone used or needed shims for a Ketos foil. You can use any wing with any stab they produced. I would never change anything to the fuselage.
