Re: When you swim in with your foil kite in the winter and it's soaked.

I hang my kites in the garage after parking my (warm) car inside and closing the garage door. LEI kites fully dry overnight and foil kites take a few days. I do not pump up foil kites with a fan, in time this will increase fabric porosity, reduce performance and decrease the lifespan. Opening valves...

Re: Slingshot Monofoil

Tried it with mast through the wing and wasn’t impressed. Riding without stabilizer is quite...what’s the word...”unstable” (shocker, I know) https://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=1030520#p1030520 Thanks, that was what I was wondering. Maybe a short fuselage and/or a smaller stabilizer will be my n...

Slingshot Monofoil

Have enjoyed the Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding posts. I wanted to find out what people thought of modifying Slingshot foils to Short Fuselage (SF) and/or Monofoil Fuselage (MF) setups? Modifications could be as easy as just cutting, drilling & tapping and filing of some extra fusel...

Re: DIY Arc Speed 5.5 from foilmaker

When i pull the break lines the same effect is achieved i saw, and the kite flies better. PL Arcs can usually fly with slack rear lines. The stiffer the spars the better, carbon rods are best, aluminum is ok, fiberglass is usually heavy, don't use bamboo (I tried this once and the spar flex alone m...

Re: Changing Mixer Line Length

For each knot Z was extended, C was shortened 0.5in and B was shortened about 0.25in. Are you adjusting just Z or C and B as well? No, only adjusting Z (from original design setting), and then measuring the change in C and B positions (from original design settings) Z= Not lengthened, C=no change a...

Re: Changing Mixer Line Length

I haven’t tamed my 10m Aurora2 yet, still trying tho. Still hopeful as I’ve seen posts and videos of others having success with it [<link1>] [/u]. With the 8m Aurora2 I was able to make it useable for landboarding in light winds by lengthen A about 3in [<link2>] [/u]. Useable meaning power is on/off...
