Re: Leaving bar attached to foil kites: why do lines twist?

Hi! I used to have line mess with my foil kites quite offten before I started packing them in the same way they came "new" from the producer (in this case flysurfer). The trick is to tie ALL the 4 lines up and then put them on the opposite side of the bridle (the leading edge side) First loop / tie ...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

I have a dilemma. I had a couple of water sessions with my 12m Soul. I was pretty amazed by its performance, it was pure joy to ride it on a TT. Yet I had some concerning moments. Whenever some inconvenience happened I couldn't just let the kite go by throwing out the bar. Yes, kite lost some power...

Re: Speed 5 vs. Soul

Hi,
Got the soul 12m and speed5 9m. Super happy with the soul!
It's very stable, easy launch (fills up in half the time of speed).
Biggest performance improvments are turning speed and
power generation sheeting in the bar in my opionion.
In all a super easy, playfull, fun and addictive kite :D

Re: Soul jumping instructions

Hey, k4f. The timing for boosting with various kites can be different, but the basic concepts for boosting are always the same. What you've described for the Speed 4 is the boosting "recipe" for every kite, including the Soul. Your timing will fall into place as you get used to the new kite. yes I ...

Soul jumping instructions

Hi, Are there any jumping instructions from flysurfer for the soul? I've just replaced my speed4 with this kite and I wonder if the jumping technique is different with the souls? For speed4/5 flysurfer provided instructions in the manual but I can't found this for the soul. This is the instruction f...

kite size for queensland cairs july/august

Hello! I'll spend a couple of weeks in northern Queensland this summer. Mostly family, tourism, snorkeling/diving but I see it's one of the worlds best area 4 kitesurfing :D So I've checked the wind statistics on windfinder and from what I can see it's pretty windy in july / august ( https://www.win...

Re: Light wind inflatable kite

... To me flying high in the air is the true kiteboarding ... 😊 You may find that in light wind with straps or foot hooks on a foilboard you can jump a lot higher than with a twin tip : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGBml0w2p3I Amazing air control with a hydrofoil, it might look easy but it's not...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

well there you said pretty much; to put it simply Pulse 2 is very thick kite and the new ones, Souls etc. are not (among other things) due to increased performance, hence the new ones can go quite far in to the wind window which becomes problematic in very gusty winds ie. kite shooting to the edge ...

Re: Split kiteboards

Thanks for your reply! Very helpful as well. I looked at the Flysurfer and like the fact that it has a clip system like the Nobile. I was surprised to know it weighs less than the Nobile NHP Carbon split. I'm ideally looking for something light so this might be a good option. I got the flysplit 2 (...
