Re: Kiteboarding in zero wind. It's possible after all!

You'd have to start with some wind, to get the kite flying, but your theory probably holds water...though I wouldn't call it kiteboarding, I'd call it currentboarding :-).

B.T.W. this sort of thing should be discussed over a beer, or two, not on a forum

Re: Strapped surfboard for high wind & boosting

@Dirk; cool. Hope you had a good session. I sure did. Solid 9 ft waves (not bad for the NorthSea) and wind building to 35+ knots...could have used a strapped in weapon :-)

Re: Kite Bar for lots of rotations and no front line twists?

I don't know which year bar you are using right now, but you could simply replace your chickenloop for one with a swivel. Doesn't even have to be Airush, really.

You'll still have to untwist, but it's alot easier below the bar!

Re: New Gear from Ocean Rodeo

Thanks Adam, In guess I was asking for the obvious, but it's still good te see some confirmation, especially as the Prodigy is still advertised as a wave kite (and it is, IMO).

How about sizing? ORSales?

Re: New Gear from Ocean Rodeo

Bar looks clean, might have a serious look at that. I am more interested in the Roam, though...what's the word? Roam vs Prodigy? I have gen3 and gen4 Prodigies, love them for their stability, steady pull and drift. I ride waves, strapless only. Side-on to sideshore, waves ranging from mush to reason...

Re: Direct to consumer sales

@Kas911: Exactly my thoughts...though to be fair towards resellers...you can't demo these kites.

Any reviews out there?

You could check out http://hb-surfkite.com/. Lightweight, strong. I ride the Anti 5.0. I have never ridden the Vanguard...but I love the Anti. My 5.0 is not a LW board, obviously, but it comes in various sizes, and definitely a MPH. Regards, or6.

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

I got myself a Dakine Clubwagon recently for my HB Anti 5'0". Works fine. It comes in different sizes. I got myself a 155 (CM's). Might be fine for Vanguard..I am not sure whether you would see this as a real Golf Bag...

Re: What is your strongest wind setup?

Hi Folks, sort of new here, have been reading lot of posts, just never got involved...who knows, I just might now. I ride two boards, a Mako 150 (latest model) and a HB ANti 5'0 (strapless board). I like riding the Anti with my OR Prodigy 7 upto 30 knots. Above, I'll go bump and jump with the Mako. ...
