Re: plastic tubes on depower/safety lines - are they a good thing?

How long do most people use their control bars for (seasons)? I know if depends on how many sessions a year, but how long do you guys use a control bar for before replacing the bar or even just parts? I keep the bar for a couple seasons usually. Replace the trim line 2-3 times per season due to wea...

Re: Wave kite size recommendation

at 150 lbs for onshore strapless riding id take a 10m for that wind range, though I'd be on a 12m up to about 18 knots or so. 10m from 18-23/24ish, 7m for 24+ and yea c kites will work fine to try it out and maybe longer depending on your style/conditions. the main problem with a c kite in the waves...

Faxie, you wrote "Performance Ozone and PL".
What is PL?
Probably Peter Lynn. Smaller niche brand, I think they're more popular with the land crowd? Never seen one in person.

Re: Good kite for boat

Why not just use a boat made for sailing instead of trying to jerry rig a kiteboarding kite onto something? Sounds like a massive hassle for very little purpose, this is already a solved problem

Re: Foil board as directional? Anyone tried it?

I always wondered what my foil board would feel like with just the short mast and no wing. Might try it this year just for fun. I was curious about this as well actually. I'd imagine it'd feel kind of crap since it'd be really long and not the right shape to be a fin, but it'd probably work. Though...

Re: Bar Pressure

you have more leverage when the line is attached closer to the tip, so when you move the bar the kite will immediately start to turn and in a tighter arc. its why for wakestyle youd move the rear lines farther from the wingtip, so the kite doesnt move as much if you grab the bar in the wrong spot

kite turns faster on the lower bar pressure setting
If your steering input is same (bar movement) kite will turn slower with low bar pressure setting.

Re: Hydrofoil, Worth it for me?

How can I make it FUN learning to ride a longer Mast?? Seems like several of you found a way to make it fun. I learned super quick on short LF setup. Then went to a LONG Mast and never could get started. Sort of lost my excitement. Any words of wisdom to get excitement back to start up again? Thank...

Re: Airush wave 7m blew out!

How much do you weigh? Wave isnt a super rigid kite so if you seriously load it up in high wind, it's possible it could fold a bit. I've seen several 3-strut kites do it, and I've even managed to do it myself when I edged really hard against an older 9m in 40+ mph. Leading edge looked sort of like t...
