Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

    :thumb: Grand Mesa report Kite lake well frozen over over and great kiting conditions with at least a foot of powder on top. Park and ride is still pretty rocky, but covered with an average of 14" of fresh snow. The road to kite lake is closed, at least to my 4runner with...

Re: Flysurfer Soul 12 safety release problem

I fly a soul 21 with the stock bar and when I release it can get very frisky. This thread got me thinking. I put 3 meter extensions on it would that affect the flag out? This should be simple but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the concept. But I love my soul, my only wish is it was a...

Re: Peter Lynn Nova

I got my 8m and took it out snowkiting yesterday evening. Inflates easier than the Aero v2, really smooth power delivery and you don't have to worry about redirecting it back during jumps as quickly as you do with race foils. I flew it on my 60cm bar with line extensions (bigger bar and longer line...

Re: Who here is Kite Foiling?

No sorry I wish it was that simple. The law was put into place in the 90's when kiting was not so safe. Two or three serious issues and a knee jerk reaction and now I'm working on changing the law. Just getting started trying to motivate local kiters to be active and involved. And it is winter and s...

Thanks For The input about Clearwater. Finished mine in May but have not had a chance to fly it since. Water kiting is a problem in my area. Co made it illegal to kite on state park lakes, which is 95% Of the lakes here. Will post update on progress. :D

Re: Kitemare / Safety Share

Darn you all this is scary stuff. I do mostly snow Kiting and just built my first foil. I'm going to order that knife looks like a great option. And yes shit happens my last snow kite session was on fathers day and I somehow got a leading edge line trapped in a boot buckle. 21m soul when in light wi...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Grand Mesa father's day ok not epic but not boring definitely not boring. A few stupid gusts that ripped me a new one! A leading edge line tangle in my snowboard bindings that precluded any safe release, dragging me on my backside for over a 100' (glad I wasn't in the water)!😱 Several big jumps stil...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Going to hit the Grand Mesa tomorrow with Todd conditions look awesome. 8) 12:00pm land Mesa road. Winds steady at 12 gusts up to 18. Snow pack at 3' two days ago. Wet slushy and bring your beach towels. Let's make an epic day 💪😎👊
