Re: flying characteristics of a F one Diablo V2

I’m using 24m lines and the wing tip stall happens just before I start the down stroke to power up the kite. I’ll take a look at the lines coming from the wing tips first and try some of everyone s suggestions if things don’t improve. My 10m Diablo V1 doesn’t seem to have this problem.

Re: flying characteristics of a F one Diablo V2

thanks for the input, it’s a 2017 and has about 8 sessions on it. It flys fine with the exception about the wing tips stalling and collapsing when I jibe. I’ll try and contact F one and see about the mixer dimensions and adjustments. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem

flying characteristics of a F one Diablo V2

I recently got a 13m Diablo V2 and noticed the wing tips tend to collapse when I’m making my jibes. Is this normal when the apparent wind speed drops or is it rider technique that I need to work on. I’m at the stage of trying to complete my jibes without touching down. I haven’t learned how to roll ...

Re: Advice on foil kite

I’ve made the purchase Tom of a 18m Spd4lotus and 10m Diablo as my first foil kites to try. I’ve enjoyed using both of them along with my quiver of Lei kites. It’s seems to come to what is your personal preference and what are your water and wind conditions where you kite most of the time. You make ...

Re: Liquid Force compatible surf foil wing

That's great to here LF is coming out with a surf wing. I've been using my old Foil Fish wing for riding waves and it does a decent job for just cruising and slow carving. I hope it's compatible with the original fuselage. Look forward to see this soon.

Progression of a roll tack , need help

I'm at the stage of constant falls on a roll tack. I've heard it before on the forum it may take two-three hundred attempts to nail this maneuver. Is there one aha moment where suddenly the light comes on, it's frustrating to say the least.

Re: Wind meters?

Haven't used wind meters in several years.I tend to look at local conditions i.e. Sea state, warning flags on beach, sand blowing on beach, beach umbrellas rolling across beach, shaded wind-line out in water etc., when the breeze starts dropping it becomes a little more difficult especially if your tr...

Re: Do U use an impact vest for hydrofoiling?

I've never used a impact vest since I started foiling. I started using a helmet after having a few face plants when I first began foiling. Now that I have upgraded from a LF foil fish to a Moses fluente my speed has increased dramatically so I'm reconsidering the impact vest but being a wave rider I...

Re: Foiling with Seabirds

Yeah it's pretty cool looking around at all the sea life a meter off the water. Haven't seen to many seabirds other than pelicans but have seen plenty of dolphin, rays, sharks, turtles , and fish. Now if I could only mount my GoPro in the right location to catch a lot of it.
