Check the wings for chips and clean them up, with epoxy or glazing compound. It's usually the mast but it can be caused by imperfections in the wings also. Good luck.

Deep Tuttle dimensions?

I saw the wider side view dims in Gunnar's video, but I don't have the width, or dimensions from the front view.

I ordered a go foil but Tuttle to plate adapters are all back ordered. I'm going to try to 3d print a mold and make my own. Thanks.

Re: How thick can I lay carbon fiber?

PLA mast mold worked pretty well. I got impatient at the end and the mold warped, but the mast seems good to me. I did overfill the mold so the mast is a good eight inch wider than intended. Spurred by my success I tried a fuse mold with a little more patience. It came out better but the mold still ...

I am no expert but you need to make sure there are no small nicks anywhere. Some foils just don't ride well with even small imperfections. When mine starts to act funny I always use glazing compound like in the video. Good luck.

Looks thick. I bet that's super fun on a kite. What's the area and wingspan?

Re: Sealing alu strut - still a no-no?

My Takuma mast came sealed from the factory but now it has water in it that I can't get out. Maybe a fluke or maybe its not that easy to seal.

Re: filling bolt holes?

The mount location is fine, maybe 19 inches from the back of the board to the back of the mast. I did have three washers as shims on the back bolts to get the angle right.

Re: filling bolt holes?

The thinner nose and tail, less volume on the rails and about 20 liters less total volume than I was used to. A smaller board is more fun when foiling but the paddle back out and standing in choppy water waiting for waves is rough on a smaller tippier board. When moving the foil seems to add stabili...
