Re: Hydrofoil Videos

I have two carafinos and several wing sets....never seen that stab before.... It is a homebuild, pretty sure - as the French really got hydrofoiling into "The world" by evolving it from slow Carafinos, to later being the worlds fastest sailing craft thus everyone jumped that wagon of course. And no...

Re: Moses Onda with a smaller stabilizer?

Hi all, I'm now using the Onda with the MS420 stabilizer (from my race setup) and I find it more agile and enjoyable in the waves compared to the original MS483. Little bit more dolphin effect but being experienced enough it isn't a problem. Did anyone tried for example MS325? I'm curious to know i...

Re: Deck grip

Why are deck pads so freaking expensive?...I've getting ready to build my own board and I was like wtf when I saw the prices. Hmmm, yes, in shops big deck pads are expensive, agree. But on the net they cost almost nothing... Here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2017-2200-650-5mm-Surfboard-deck-pad-...

plummet,

Any idea what the size of your front wing is?

As I recall he is using his homebuild, not that far away from a Moses 550 wing, which is 570-580 cm2.

But correct me I might be wrong Plummet

Re: The back drag and stupid unwind angles

Oh, sorry, I read your post "Foil on an almost Horizontal angle" like your foil(kite) was down low, but you meant the hydrofoil (mast) instead

Snip...

Would also be useful to be able to put weight kg in sigs because rider weight is often critical in board and particularly kite reviews.

What is sigs?

Re: The back drag and stupid unwind angles

What you are doing is exactly the same as racers, really powered with a big kite (relative to the wind), kite quite low, and heeling over as much as possible to use all wing for upwind angle :thumb: But dragging the back in the water is quite impressive, and assume you must have the kite depowered e...

Another request if possible - when you search for a very common word, you are not allowed to search... Even if you put a rare poster (or a frequent poster) in the advanced search, so the number of topics found will be very small. This means the search feature can often not be used, even if you know ...

Re: Kiteforum Update 2019 - any suggestions?

I would like to see that a link opens in a new window, whenever I click on a link or video on a post, just like most web sites :thumb: Have been fooled so often and had to press back several times to get to the original post in kite forum again... And the ability to delete a post would also be nice ...

Re: The back drag and stupid unwind angles

What does “hooning along” mean? 😂 Don't people hoon in other countries.? I would think so - but we dont know what it is either? When I read the words I thought it was local slang for "Yelling out loud of joy", just like we do when suddenly succeeding with something difficult on the water. But when ...
