Re: Moses 790 wing

So given the options available, 633, 683s and 790, which would be your number one choice? Impossible to answer as individual choices... The 633 is the lively lightwind and allround good wave wing. 683 is for those who want to ride in light wind and overall, have fun and ease in maneuvers, go better...

Re: Stopper Ball and Foiling

I use it now and then. Great to lock the kite so not fully on its frontlines every time you let go of the bar, as it drifts better this way. So you can have fun riding waves no hands on the bar for as long as you can, if you get the kite "parked" correctly for starters. Not that long for me ha haa, ...

Re: 15M Flysurfer Speed

Hmmm, you might be right, but I still doubt it slightly... Even the superlight racekites tends to have difficulties when the wind goes below 6 knots. And most other foilkites are somewhat heavier, which is the reasoning for my estimate, not having flown the very kite only many others, but could be w...

Re: 15M Flysurfer Speed

In 7 knots it is perfect, although on the heavy side so you have to be able to keep it flying all the time. Will it have problems staying in the air in 7 knots in your opinion? I don't know, somebody else has to answer that one. It is just, when normal fabric/weight the lower limit is usually aroun...

Re: Moses aluminium mast onda package

Do you want an alu mast since you ask?

Or was it a comment that you don't like that?

Re: 15M Flysurfer Speed

I was wondering if anyone could advise me if they think a 15m Speed foil kite is a bit large for hydrofoiling in light winds (7 to 11 knots). I am using the Liquid Force Rocket Foil and like cruising about - not into racing :) Hmmm, depends on what you want and experience. In 7 knots it is perfect,...

Re: About real small pocket boards < 1 m, benefits and limits

If you ride in somewhat flattish water, or with straps, the waterstart is of less or no issue indeed, no doubt. But I found the supershort ones major downside is when out in waves (and most likely chop), in say 10-13 knots or something, the supershort flat boards are a menace in order to waterstart ...

Re: About real small pocket boards < 1 m, benefits and limits

Agree fully with all above, especially smaller stabilizers. Still see it as fashion or "make believe" for the majority to go "as short as possible", no matter what. And if one believes so much in a concept even if you can not feel any difference for real, one tends to suppress the disadvantages, hum...

Re: About real small pocket boards < 1 m, benefits and limits

Interesting. My stance has been mostly getting wider, especially while carving :D Moving my back foot further behind the mast... Hmm... The same for me, having a wide stance makes you able to push harder and more aggressively in turns, and control everything better, in particular the rear foot more...

Re: About real small pocket boards < 1 m, benefits and limits

...the whole nose of the board rests underwater... I'm fairly convinced that the main appeal of the exceedingly small hydrofoil board is fashion. Huh? How are you water starting?! Less swing weight, less nose to stick in the water in the trough, less width to catch on the wave face. Not fashion :) ...
