Re: Buying gear

If you are on the budget- spending on 6m kite would make it even worse. I am 80kg and rarely use my 7m. 5-6m kite for beginner would be waste, could use that in the storm in 2 years only. I guess flying small kites on land is a way to quit. If you can water start- 15-20knots is for 12m, and 20-30kno...

Re: Buying gear

its nice to have same kite model on different sizes, then they fly in similar way. Years can be different. I also notice that smaller kites are used less. depends on riders weight, but if average person buys 12 and 9, 12 will be used a more and 9 will be maybe half of that. You can buy online (Switc...

Re: app for logging foil session

I use Windsport tracker. Gives upwind angles, plus all other statistics. I'm using Windsports Tracker also. What's you opinion as to the accuracy of the speeds recorded. I've only used it twice so far. The first time the speed was slower than I thought it would be, and the second was faster. I did ...

Re: f-one bandit 14m vs Dutone Dice/Evo 14m compared to 12M?

Yes - that was my plan, but i wanted to see if someone tried... I am 85 KG and have a rather small board of 135cm. In sweden the most common wind is like 13-17 knots, which is just a bit to little for my bandit 12 at the moment. But as you said - everyone gives so much "hate" 14M historically (They...

Re: North Kiteboarding Meeting in Daklah

guys expect they would bring in just 12 months?! well noted nixmatters. I work with product development and see what North did is pretty impressive. If they had 1 year, where about 6 months is for production and distribution of first batches. Tools for metal, plastic injections can take 2-3 months....

Re: Missing kite pump features

my thoughts on what i need:
- pumps foot that do not pack sand (which goes in car trunk later)
- hose connector on the side/same direction as handle- good to packing
- hose that does not kink and break later.
- hook to hold kite loop (not ball like most pumps have)
- no sharp points

Better put your helmet on before posting kiteforum today! Looks like the global helium shortage is keeping the wind from blowing.
Just imagine that someone would get video where if they fill kitewing with helium. Forum police would track them down and pop all bladers :))) for more MRIs :))

Re: Twintip damage can I repair it? Gash 5 cm

I had similar damage, bit smaller 4-5cm. Clean it, dry it, put epoxy resin deep in materials with syringe. Sandwich board between 2 planks and clamp.Put PE bag between board and planks to protect from gluing all together. Wait a day, sand off extra epoxy. Feel proud. I still ride mine. For me even b...
