Re: Which inflatable do you find best for Hydro foiloing

Cheers guys.
Yes Peter I'd like to keep the smaller Vegas for TT Freestyle . Still lovin that ;-)

North are very popular around here so maybe the Mono .

The Naish Trip also looks interesting although I haven't seen one on the water

Unfortunately Clouds aren't available in the Uk.

Re: Which inflatable do you find best for Hydro foiloing

Can anyone offer some more advice on this subject as at the moment my quiver is a 5/7/9/12 Vegas . I'm new to foiling but not Kiting and for now I'm just looking at replacing the 12m for something more suitable for light winds on the foil. The clouds look interesting but they are not available in th...

Re: Shin Shinnster and El Stubbo first ride!

Hi mig27, I'm not sure how much the Shinn Stubbo weighed and it's gone now so can't get it on the scales. From memory the board itself was not overly heavy , probably similar to a twin tip but once you put the carbon plate on , there seemed to be big weight increase . Not sure on actual weights but ...

Re: Shin Shinnster and El Stubbo first ride!

I Bought a Shinn el Stubbo as my first Hydrofoil. As a learner I am obviously not qualified to comment too much about the foil but I do have some thoughts that convinced me to change to a Moses Fluente. Firstly i found that there is next to no buoyancy. So much so that sometimes after a wipeout , th...

Re: Pros and Cons of learning strapless

It's very encouraging to know that there are lots of like minded people out there who prefer the " No Strap " option

Thanks for all the replies guys :-)

Re: Pros and Cons of learning strapless

Thanks for all the great replies guys ! I'm not really going out in super light winds just yet as I'm still trying to cope with the basics , but I could see how straps would be advantageous in really light winds for relaunching. Hey " Bradford " I've had the same thing happen once already but not wh...

Re: Pros and Cons of learning strapless

Thanks Peter, I will persevere unless my progression stalls, maybe then I will reconsider.

Re: Pros and Cons of learning strapless

Thanks for all the replies guys. I think that I'm gonna persevere down the strapless root as I don't intend to do any HF jumping or Racing just yet. Also agree that the wipeouts appear less severe as when I do come off " which i do frequently " I seem to be floating away looking back at the foil fly...

Pros and Cons of learning strapless

Hi all, I'm pretty new to Kitefoiling but have kited for a while. I've ridden a Kite surfboard without straps for years and so decided to learn to KF strapless. One of the reasons is that I have a dodgy knee and so didn't want to wipe out with one foot in the strap and possibly Tweek the knee. So fa...
