Re: Moses 558-550-548 (before 590/633 hit) trip the memory lane

I haven't been back on one but really want to! I learned on the 550 and remember it being so fast, I now have the f-one mirage wings (650 and 1000) and the 650 feels slower than the moses but I think that might be because I am now used to the speed and can control it better where as the 550 in the e...

Re: right back to basics!

right back to basics!

Hi all, so in my outlook as a not very technically minded person it seems as though wings seem to either be more in the triangle camp or more in the bird wing camp! The Moses 633 and the lift wings look to be more of a triangle and then the F-one mirage wings and a range of other brands look more li...

Re: What does apparent wind really bring ?

Great thread, really interesting to someone like me with a somewhat unscientific mind. I am wondering does the benefit of apparent with vary depending on wind strength? In its simplest form is apparent wind essential to ride in light wind and of no use once you have 10 knots plus, (unless going deep...

landing a gin marabou

hi all, I have a 12m soul and have just picked up a 4m marabou, I haven't used it yet. In terms of launching and landing will it be the same process as the soul, launch with some sand on trailing edge in middle of window and backstall through window to land? I'll be on a foil so not using it in craz...

Re: Strutless LEI vs foil

I went for a 12m Soul after a one strut 12m LEI and haven't looked back, I find it less stressful not having to worry about it dropping out the sky, especially when walking into the water in small waves that can knock you a foot or two under the kite and cause an LEI to drop . Also my transitions ar...

Re: Drysuit underwear

I have a fairly old ION neaoprene drysuit. I find the neoprene wets through around the ankles and wrists, not leaking seals but the neoprene soaks through, so I wear thermal leggings cut off at he calf and a top cut off at the wrists so they don't get wet. Anyone else find neoprene drysuits wet thro...
