Re: Ram Airs Crash in 2020

Rams aren’t safe for small children: That's pumpy as a kid! Thinking that may have happened a time or two on concrete with him. Might explain a bit more of t...

Re: Self launch and self land option

I've thought of a tethered landing where you fly the kite fully depowered at 11 and hook the chicken loop into a carabiner attached to an anchor(screw anchor or sandbag). Check to see how long it takes for the kite to fall to 9 and determine if you can run fast enough to be there to catch the kite. ...

Re: whistling TT ?!

If it is the nano glide skin, you could try waxing the bottom of the board to fill in the micro channels to see if it helps. You may want to first contact Crazyfly to see what they say.

Or unusual weather patterns like what we have now - high pressure to the north and low pressure to the south which has brought us easterly winds. I heard we are in a la nina weather patt...

Re: Re-sealing wetsuit's seams?

I've used Aquaseal for both wetsuit repairs and re-sticking valves. Worked great for me.

Re: Best folding and line management technique

Couple of things I do differently is that I keep the bar on the trailing edge, not the leading edge, outside the kite, in a bar bag. That way when I set up I do not have to get the bar over the kite to the trailing edge to launch. I check the bar for twists in the lines before unraveling the lines. ...

Re: Hand Sewing Ripstop Nylon

It was a real learning experience, taping and heating the tape with a heat gun to set the adhesive and then getting to know how to use the sewing machine. I first practiced s...

Re: Weird sensation boosting

I've had a couple of times where on my way down from a jump on my 21m Speed 5 that I thought I was going up again due to a gust of wind. However, I think that the sensation was due to it slowing down my descent. Weird feeling as I was extending my legs for a landing and I was still a considerable di...
