Re: Can I use a single control bar for all my kites?

As the OP indicated, his quiver of kites are all the same brand/model. If you have a mixed quiver like I do, a single bar might not work as some kites need a high Y or a low V configuration.

Still flying my 2010 xbows with the original bars. Bar pressure is a bit high. My forearms are now like Popeye's. :P

Re: help with a tangle!

No, it's always fixable. We can't see your photo (didn't upload, perhaps?), but it sounds from your description as if you've disconnected the bar and attached the lines to a pseudo-bar/tube? Is it possible that the tube dropped through the bridle lines, or the kite slipped through the bridle lines ...

Re: Fixing inverted kite

Have never seen a kite inverted like that. Would think possible damage? I have had my lines crossed twice after kite Hindenburged. Relaunched and flew back to land kite and sort out.

Re: Sometimes I wish I knew my speed

I have a Garmin Fenix 3. You can create your own app for kitesurfing with a large display for speed or set an alert if you exceed a specified speed. It's easy to create apps. Also you can set the GPS to update every second but it drains battery faster.

Re: Do you know the KITEBORDING Etiquette?

Few more: - don't bring your students to learn in the middle of the beachgoers - a beginner in water is a less maneuverable vessel, an obstacle - and has a right of way - follow pattern on the spot, a starboard tack is not a king of sea in a sleek - don't hang out / stand on the beach or in shallow...

Re: Safe Jump Height

Bad landing on hard "concrete" surf pounded sand is not fun. I cringe when I see guys landing in shallow water so close to the beach.
