I use the tethered launch/land method with the kite in the water, not on land. Then it can move accordingly if the wind changes direction a bit. In high gusty winds, I always make sure there is someone experienced to assist. And even an experienced kiter can accidentally let go of the kite at the wr...
If you wax the mixer lines, you will never need to replace them. I use ordinary candle wax and I just rub it on the line on all sides. For example, I have an 8 meter Speed 4 DLX with over 200 hours on it and the lines are still like new. I wax them after almost every session. Before I did this, on ...
For my Cabs, I like the large orifice. Without the one way valve screwed in I can inflate the kite(16m) with a battery powered air pump in less than a minute and then bring it up to pressure with a hand pump quickly. I also use the battery powered pump to pre inflate my Flysurfer in light winds.

Love my Flysurfer Speed 5 21m. Although I have not flown foil kites before, this kite turns as fast if not faster than my 16m xbow. The floaty jumps are great. I can ride in as little as 8 knots on a 135x46 TT (I am 90 kg).
I have had at least three close calls losing track off the board after a crash. You take your eye off it for a second to get the kite back up and it takes an extra minute. By the time you look around there is nothing but glare and chop. I make damn sure to pay close attention to where that board is...
