Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

The Classic surf M is significantly larger than the MPro: The Front Wing M Classic is 70cm with a volume of 2.0L. Its projected area is 1257cm2 and 1458cm2 in developed. Great to start, top to pump and amazing to ride! The Front Wing M PRO is 69cm with a volume of 1.2L. Its profile is much thinner t...

Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

So I am thinking of buying either the M classic or the pro M...Being a beginner, which one would u recommend? What are the performance differences? thanks, Xoen I don't think t really matters - either will serve you well. The Pro is smaller & thinner & should be faster because of that. I tend to th...

Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

I agree with all the comments so far. The "pro" designation doesn't really mean that much. The MPro is a great size for learning & progressing on - planes up early, is stable & has decent top speed. I would also suggest getting the 65 cm, as well as the 80 cm & 90 cm masts. They are very inexpensive...

Re: Hatteras closed. Who will get the money back?

That is the 3500$ question. We have a house booked in May driving down from Ontario. Our 15th yearly trip. If Dare county restrictions are lifted but Canadian usa border still closed no insurance. That is according to the insurance company through Surf and Sound. Surf and Sound have been less than ...

Re: Liquid Force impulse wings full of water!

yeah my bad. i posted that before i found out where the water was coming from. i guess i didnt expect this type of failure. I see. Well yes, I think you could drill a small hole at the end to the wing to help it drain. Just out of interest, you should weigh before & after. Fixing the crack is a lit...

Re: Liquid Force impulse wings defective. full of water!

https://youtu.be/Nb4yjGHNOVA sorry about that. this is a timelapse Not understanding? The clip shows water draining out of a crack, not out of a pinhole "near where the fuse attached to the wingset". How did the crack get there? I guess that's the downside of having big foam filled wings. You shoul...

Re: Is Surfing better than Kitesurfing? | Get High with Mike

It's all about what conditions you have available. Kiting is a much more varied sport with more possibilities for a good session in different conditions, encompassing TT free-riding, big air, freestyle, SB wave riding, foiling etc. The spots (& the conditions) delivering a good surfing session are m...

Re: My experience kiting in Colombia for almost 3 months.

I spent January this year in Santa Veronica, Colombia (seems like a long time ago now :( ) I stayed at Kite Eco House - more about that later. I arrived just as the January trades were kicking in. Average day was around 20 knots, using an 8m kite on my SB, people on TT's were mostly using 10m. Often...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hello all. I bought a Peak4 5m a while back, and have been using it for landboarding since the water here has been to cold to hydrofoil in, until recently. Am learning how to hydrofoil, and also have not been in cold water for a couple years....so was nervous and over-controlling my kite while gett...
