Re: 17m kite Overkill

I live in an area with very little wind for over 10 years I was using a 17m 50% of the time but I used to be much heavier too. Now that I foil I still own a really good 17m but I almost never use it. I can go out on my 633 foil and 12m Ultra in wind where the heavier 17m would not stay in the air. ...

Re: 17m kite Overkill

I'm 6 ft 178lbs 10% body fat, I workout regularly and I am quite happy with my weight! I can also ride my 17m in 9mph but it's much more fun to foil on 9m or 12m in this kind of wind.

Re: Cabrinha Foil Problem

I would personally not ride like that I would have gotten longer screws before riding but I'm anal with my gear and I don't trust anything unless I approve of the way it's built and put together. Some wings are thicker than others and require longer screws. Maybe it's their failing for not pointing ...

Re: First impression of Gong M Pro

You're not being unreasonable. I have found communications with Gong a bit problematic. They reply pretty promptly & courteously, but don't seem to properly address the question asked. On the positive side, they do seem to be gradually expanding their line to include more & more options & already h...

Re: Eleveight vs Naish Leading Edge pressure

I think the pressure is part of the overall design of the kite. A small leading edge require more pressure a big one less pressure. It's a combination of the leading edge size the bridle the shape of the kite etc.. the dacron can probably hold a lot more but the recommended pressure takes all the de...

Re: First impression of Gong M Pro

Has anyone had any luck ordering foil setup from Gong with mast of different length then specified on the website? They sell alu masts 45, 65, 80, 90 cm. I wanted to order kitefoil setup but instead of alu mast 90 cm to order it with 80 cm but I am getting nowhere when communicating with customer s...

Re: DIY depower rope?

The rope they use on all kite bars is called Amsteel it's made by Samson rope you can get it in marine supply store. If you learn to splice you can create the exact same rope that you would buy. I have done it like 25 times on so many bars. Check YouTube for splicing videos.

Re: Litewave Wing

I tested one a few years ago it's a great board. I own the original Spleene Monster Door the Spleene is wider and has better absolute low-end but the Wing is a bit more forgiving in the chop when the wind goes up. Now i foil in those condition but if you don't want to be bothered with foils or you r...
