The most dangerous thing here is that you do not test your safety release regularly and did not know that that could happen. If you properly care for and test your gear, this will not happen. Or if it does you will at least be aware of the possibility.

Socatra does belong to Yemen. However, there is a very large amount of drug trafficking that happens in the waters around Socatra. My ship seized a shipment of over 7.5 tons (15,500 pounds) of Hash from drug traffickers there and there are regular patrols by Pirates looking for an easy score.
