Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

I've been riding the old Airush Varial X 12m in 10-13knots on foil and having a blast, it doesn't fly well under 10knots though, maybe will upgrade to the Ultra and then get a travel foilboard as well....

Re: Water starting Technique different?? Short Mast vs Long??

Starting is the same, longer mast is much better once you know how to ride and have deep enough water.

Re: Where to foil in the florida keys?

As long as you can find a launch site there is unlimited riding in the keys. Ocean side is shallow in spots but once you get out its deep and beautiful quick.

Do some research on Google maps satellite mode, its really fun finding new launches and spots in the keys like that

Re: Is it possible to kite a surf-foil?

I may buy one to mount on a paddle surf board, how much was shipping?

Do you like the quality? Is it worth $500 ?

Lots of us would be interested in your review of the foil with pictures if possible

How I learned to Foil w/touchdown gybes in 3 days

Here's some encouragement for beginners out there! My experience from awhile back. Stats: Experienced kiter, relatively young and coordinated, very steady winds (12-17knots) w/12 meter kite. LF Happy Foil including the short mast. Strapless board. Impact vest. Day 1: Practiced for an hour or so behi...

Re: What are the best and most picturesque foiling spots on the East Coast?

Southeast Florida if you get a little wind, Juno, pompano, keys, etc.

Clear warm water, nowhere else compares on the east coast (if you don't factor in reliable wind) but you don't need much to foil

Re: Curved Masts and vortex generators on hydrofoils

Very strange style of semi scientific writing but then using extremely subjective measures and bizarre comparisons like a7 foot directional (WTF) versus a foil.

Maybe it works but try and actually design a reasonable experiment or at least a reasonable comparison

Re: Another FrankenFoil

You're probably going to want to move that rear foot further back, personally I would just ditch the rear footstrap

I foil, I'm not arguing you can't ride in 11 knots, that's just not 11 knots. Again, Not that it matters, sorry for hijacking the thread.

Re: Who has ridden the LF low aspect wings and switched to mid aspect wings?

No way is that wind 11 knots, that's 17+ knots. He's boosting decent and the kite is whipping fast and the kite on the beach is flapping too

Not that it really matters either way in this case, there's just way too many BS light wind claims on this forum it drives me crazy
