Re: First impression of Gong M Pro

Did anyone tried the foil with wing? Is the size M good choice for 75 kg rider and 5 m wing for 15-30 knots wind.

Re: Pranburi, Thailand

Anyone been to Pranburi recently? I'm heading that way soon and would like to know anything that is necessary (weather, restrictions, hazards etc). I will be there the last week of January. Thanks, John Hi John, Last time I was there in 2017. I think everything is still pretty much the same. Unfort...

Re: Wing foiling in gusty winds

That’s exactly what I was hoping for. How many liters you consider floaty board for 75 kg rider? 90-100 liters?

What size gong is that?
It’s 10 m, I’m 75 kg on RL foilboard shark wing. Wind was 6-8 knots.

Wing foiling in gusty winds

Hi everyone, I started kitefoiling one year ago and it’s working pretty good for now. My closest spot is 2 hours away from my house so it’s too much for one day trip especially in summer time when roads are getting super jammed. I live in bay which is surrounded with mountains and the wind is gusty ...

Re: ozone Alpha 12 low end on foil?

Any kite can get you going in sub 10 knots. It’s about being able to keep the kite in the air. Lighter the kite easier will be. Practice your light wind skills on the beach to be confident with flying the kite in such conditions.

Re: Gong kites reviews and tests

Yes, bar is not the best. Safety line protection started to break down after 2 months of use and the black rubber above the chicken loop also. Lines seams to be good quality and you can connect it to any kite since endings are with loop and knot on top. I’m thinking about buying 6.8 unique, will be ...

Re: a not too expensive but quality Hydrofoil board?

Recently there´s a lot of positive statements on the Gong foil kit on the German forum. I´ve checked their website which is a really interesting read ("about us"). Sounds all plausible and positive. Seems a heavily underestimated brand! I´ll go to Brittany for vacation soon and will visit their hea...

Re: Gong Strutless Kite for Hydrofoiling - Quick Review

I’m 75 kg rider, and I’m on 550 cm2 free ride foil wing. I’m having gong strutless 10m. Super happy with it. If the wind is ultra light (6-8 knots) I use line extensions and on 32 meter lines I can foil no problem. I find high end to be pretty low for me. Over 10-11 knots is too much. Build quality ...
