Not sure if the increased drag of bigger wings is a disadvantage or advantage in decent size waves. In small wind chop, you want better glide just to have some fun. Foiling is way way safer than surface riding because one uses a much smaller kite. It is kite power gone bad that causes most kiting deaths.

The important factors are foil size, how often you touch down, rider weight, frequency of underpowered water starts and rider ability to water start directly to foil. If you fill in those details, you can get some specific recommendations.

That is a very nice review and thank you for the dedicated test. Seems indeed a very good choice for me, if not so expensive, i have to count my centimes ... Back to lower end : i understand you have a better upwind angle, but would you say that you are sure to foil-up earlier just after the waters...
