Re: Kitemare warning about crossed lines!

If not you are saying you crashed the kite, went back to the beach, had your accident, went out on the water again to understand what happened? Yes, this is exactly what happened. Except the reason I went back out on the water was not to understand what happened but because to avoid injury I ran my...

Re: Kitemare warning about crossed lines!

I'm not sure why someone will notice anything on the grip when that same person completely misses the obvious colour tells. I'm not constantly looking at my bar, so I don't really have the instinct to have red on my left hand. But I'm almost always feeling the bar. So if it would feel different (wh...

Re: Kitemare warning about crossed lines!

In this case if you are 100% aware that the bar is turning and you still "forget" that issue putting your board down - then I'm not sure if anything on the grip etc. would alter what you do/did next. I thought I was pretty clear in the subtitles that all that bar flip footage was from after the acc...

Re: new reviews on 2021 North Orbits?

Promising that it sounds like the Orbit 2021 has improved on some of the seeming weaknesses in the 2020 version.

Would have loved to see some reviews comparing Orbit (2021) with the new Rebel. Also kites like the XR6 and Edge v10.

Re: Kitemare warning about crossed lines!

First of all thanks for sharing. Would agree with n2sh. Most of my mistakes are "lazy" mistakes. In this case if you are 100% aware that the bar is turning and you still "forget" that issue putting your board down - then I'm not sure if anything on the grip etc. would alter what you do/did next. Not...

My understanding La Nina = epic trades in the Carib all winter.
I was there in 2017 which apparently was a La Nina year. Very bad wind for those 4 weeks. If I remember correctly I had 6 days on the water in Cabarete.

Then again I might just have been extremely unlucky.

Re: La Nina and the Winds of Winter

Mhm. Discussion in Norwegian news these days - how La Nina looks to be quite strong this year/season. Certainly interesting to hear if there are any indications on how that might influence wind at certain kite locations. Would absolutely love to go back to Cabarete if there is good wind coming - eve...

Re: La Nina and the Winds of Winter

I went to Cabarete in 2015, 2016 and 2017. 2015 was great. 2016 and 2017 were #$"$"#$". Spent 3-4 weeks there all years during winter.

Obviously doesn't prove anything as it could be fairly random and I guess nothing would guarentee fantastic wind month after month in Cabarete during winter.

Bullshit? Is it happening?

I have never had the impression that that channel is not honest in their evaluation of kites.
