Re: CrazyFly Sick bar 2021 Falling apart mid jump/ WARNNING!

Yes Soleas, they are making pretty much the same shit from 2015! and you might say I deserve what I got for being stupid enough to buy this crap! If as you say there are other riders injured while using this deadly device I would like to hear from them! In my 12 years of kitesurfing I never heard a...

Re: 2021 Duotone Kites poor construction quality ?

Never seen anything like that before so I would say it is not normal. I would have asked for a replacement. What happens if you go all the way through and you are basically just hooking the rope to your harness? Anecdotal of course, but my first bar still looks fine and that I used for almost 5 years.

Re: 2021 Duotone Kites poor construction quality ?

Obviously some equipment will just randomly fail. It is true for space shuttles and it will always be true for kite equipment as well. You cannot get down to 0 incidents, but clearly bars should not fail very often. For wear and tear parts I think the manufacturers should be better at informing when...

Re: Shinn Ronson Chromatic 21 sizing?

I'm not and expert here and this divides opinions on this board, but if you like the Crazyfly board you will notice a fairly significant difference going down to 144x43. That said 141x42 is only about 2% smaller than mine in surface area. You being 10kg lighter than me means it would probably feel q...

Re: Shinn Ronson Chromatic 21 sizing?

Interesting that they have changed the sizing. I got the Ronson Player at 140x43 - which was the biggest at the time. I'm 100kg+- and I certainly wouldn't go any smaller, but that comes down to personal preference and riding style as well. I would have loved to try the new 144 just to see if you get...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Us Catholics are already ashamed - all those dirty thoughts. A bit surprised that you are angry at handshakes though. As the core principle in your movement seems to be virtue signalling. Even more so as your policies are clearly working for the moment with high energy prices all over the world. Was...

Bla bla bla

Hopefully Pfizer will set up their climate change department soon. The only ones we can trust these days - when 400 private planes can't fix the climate.

Re: quiverBuilder spreadsheet

I think this depends on type of kite as well. My 12m Enduro overlaps very nicely with my 17m Zephyr. Between my 12m and 9m Enduro I sometimes think they are too close together. It works because at 100kg I have never kited in conditions where an 8 has been need (TT). 8 might be stretching it with a 1...

Re: A question about a new harness pain

Size and fit matter of course. With the wrong fit then the right size could still be uncomfortable.

Re: North combo what to choose Orbit/Reach sizing?

I don't think low/high end is that "scientific" - it heavily depends on riding style and personal preferences. A friend of mine is the same weight as me, but we are quite different in terms of what we consider rideable conditions. When he feels overpowered he will sometimes get back to the beach and...
