Re: 3D printed bar inserts?

After cleaning the inside of the bar with drill-brush and water, I fill the center hole section with epoxy with micro balloons and with 10-20% added graphite powder mixed in and then carefully bore out the hole with a Dremel and sand carefully with paper rolled on a chopstick. So far works well, sli...

Re: Are Carbon Bars worth the extra price?

Do you loop the kite a lot? Spin the bar and let go to unspin the lines? Kite one handed a lot? If yes, then the lighter bar just feels great! The lack of floats or junk on the steering lines means less weird line movement with slacked or lightly powered lines. Less stuff to get tangled on when you’...

Re: Foil Riding stance, bean pole vs poo stance

If all you ride is #1 then you’re weak and you’re bloodline is weak. You probably have nice wind, a peak 4, and have waves to play on.

Foil Riding stance, bean pole vs poo stance

Which way do you ride the most and why? 1. Standing up pretty straight with weight over the board, relaxed with minimal kite pull on the harness, lightfooted on board, kite mostly low power, cruising and carving. Kite high. 2. Weight deep in the harness, heavy kite pull, board heeled over, maxing up...

Re: Little kite range

I think most 4m lei kites can work for “survival foiling” in 20-40mph winds with some stronger gusts, especially with a surf foil on low end, small foil wing on high end. My 4.5m LF Solo v2 works with 750cm2 strapless foil and 65kg. High wind technique is key, especially in gusty shadowed spots. Got...

Re: Pocket board building

First experiment with carbon fiber cloth and vacuum bagging working well. Lots of imperfections but a good learning experience. 105cm x 38cm Cheap 2cm EPS sandwiched between 3mm Baltic birch ply. Wrapped in 600g carbon fiber with small amount of reinforcement at plate. Adhesive-backed cork Shelf lin...

Flysurfer Race vs VMG

I’m buying an old 15m Race for light wind foiling to complement my 11m foilkite. Would prefer a VMG but the Price is right! I’m not a racer but I like to ride fast, powered on short lines. Curious about the Race and VMG bridle differences and similarities and how they compare in flight and turning. ...

Yes there is more than one way to change camber, adjusting B or A is not the right way.

Then why is B and C easily adjustable on the Flysurfer sonic2 mixer but not Z?

kiteykitekite wrote: It's normal for any foil kite to collapse, it can be fixed. Like Jyoder said reduce camber. Do so by lengthening Z say 10cm.
In my case it was mixer adjustments of B and C vs A that caused the behavior.
