In my case it was mixer adjustments of B and C vs A that caused the behavior.

Re: Tip stalling and flying line tension

This happened on my Sonic2 when I played with the mixer and increased camber too much. Reducing camber fixed it.

Re: Peak / Genesis / wing and sup - what to do?

Build a wood board. Add thick deck pad if it does t float enough.
Use 17m cloud.

Re: Fixing crossed lines while at sea

I did it today first time with foil kite with my Sonic2 9m in waist high water. I backstalled the kite onto the water LE up. In hindsight I should have put the kite LE down, as when I untensioned the back lines to pass the bar through the front lines, the kite launched and one steering line wrapped ...

My seat harness is fine but my winter wetsuit is developing holes where the leg straps run in the crotch. Cold water flush there is an experience... 🥶

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

With line below the bar you can grip the bar in the middle for one-handed steering.

Re: Fixing crossed lines while at sea

I’ve done it by disconnecting from bar in light wind with kite at edge of window.

Could you swim or do a front or backflip through the front lines while holding them apart with your hands? and that way not have to unhook? Probably too dangerous to wrap lines around your body...

Re: extend the low end; single skin, cloud, foil kite?

I ride the Chesapeake bay. Have yet to fly or see a Peak4. I learned to foil light wind with a big Cloud and now ride a light 11m race foil kite and my friend rides a 12m Pulsion. Why tether launch in light wind? I ride alone all the time and hot launch in light wind, especially as wind on ground is...

Re: Considering a switch to foil kites

Depends on where you ride. I ride on the Chesapeake Bay and hydrofoil only. My style: Foil kites for 9m and bigger sizes. LEI for 9m and smaller sizes. A little overlap in middle gives options. In higher wind, I like to carve more and tend to throw the hydrofoil around a bit, try new stuff, slack th...

Re: What does apparent wind really bring ?

i would say that apparent winds does not help at all on your final speed .... :bye: you get my point ? I don’t understand your statement. What is final speed? Apparent wind is a product of speed, not a cause. How can it help or not? It just exists. Are you thinking of the changes in kite airspeed, ...
