Re: Is your harness weaker than your lines?

uh what? I'm not sure what the photos will help you with. Let me know exactly what you are doing and I'll take some photos for you. Hi edt, I am curious on the padding part. I've a carbon plate molded on my back, need to add padding but would like to avoid glueing it. Interesting the way you used a...

Re: Free kite plans on GitHub

I'm currently updating my three kite models (Agilus, Ventus and GO) with the latest software release and some design changes. And could also add an extra light DCF (ex. cuben) version... Funny fact about the DCF: There is a larger DCF order on the way and will be available in the extremtextil store...

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

Sure you can post a link! Judging by the weight of commercial custom carbon bars I don't think people are using more than 2mm thickness so 3mm should be bomber. Evan Mr Infexion might care to comment as he has been very generous with information. My carbon bar provider is carbosix (https://www.carb...

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

Have you guys tried to make a bar from a 25mm outer diameter and 21mm inner diameter carbon tube and then in the middle and inside of it glue say 10cm long 21mm diameter full aluminum rod which has a hole for the depower rope? For foiling one doesn’t need extra strong bar, so would this work? I’ve ...

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

Herman, you were right. I underestimated forces and friction and had to find a solution, see the picture (the metal part is from a sailing store, and I put an aluminium tape). Otherwise, I have now used this bar several times and I am quite happy with it. Do you ride with the line above the bar or ...

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

Hi Tomlutz,

Thank you for reply, I’m going to use a square bridge and rivets to bound it to the bar. Depower tube will just touch the bar, not going to be far.

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

Hi Tomlutz,

I’m building my own bar and would like to know if you feel any discomfort using off axis main line.

Thank you in advance for the feedback
