Re: Ring for RideEngine rope spreader bar

^ Why? Its impossible to keep the loop in the ring, unless very small loop ;) Here: https://www.mackiteboarding.com/2018-slingshot-talon-chicken-loop-replacement/ If you buy the right ring, chicken loop sits in very nicely. Right now I’m using a modified ball of the fireball and it works great!

Re: Ring for RideEngine rope spreader bar

Hi,

I’ve been using a low friction ring and works perfectly. It costs around 15/20 euro but definitely worth the money
Chicken loop goes around the ring, not inside.

Re: RRD Type 5 User Manual and/or Line Length Guide

Hi Hockeystar, Please do a favor to yourself and all the kiters around you: do NOT use that kite! Safety system is a joke on old kites, it’s extremely dangerous! Did you have a proper kite course? I doubt any instructor would have recommended to buy something like that. Attempting kitesurfing withou...

Re: Aluula ? New Revolutionary Material from Ocean Rodeo

Hi, I’m looking for data sheets of Dacron and D2 ripstop and quadtex by Naish.
Do you guys have any info? It would be cool to make a serious comparison with some detailed info.
Thank you in advance!

Re: Mystic Majestic X harness sizing?!

Mystic X fits quite big, a small mystic is slightly bigger than a small RE. I had doubt as well and I tried both. For my back shape RE is more comfortable although I like more the mystic one. Since it’s a hard shell you must try both. If I was in your shoes I would try small mystic and small and med...

Re: Control system by Bracuru

BTW 2 Read a summary from one of popular kite schools yesterday that only 3% of beginners practically know how and when to use a QR. hard to deny that Mr.Wannabee heard that a QR must be used in a case if SOMETHING happens. But he has rather no clue what the SOMETHING means. If a beginner doesn’t k...

Re: Fin question

Fins are kitesurfing equipment most underestimated part. Stiffer fins perform overall better, go upwind better, hold higher speed. My boards have futures fin boxes, best for kitesurfing imho. I use control series small and medium, legacy pivot small and blackstix small (my favorite). I’m 65kg and ri...

Re: trimless bar setup for racing?

I hope 2020 would be the year in which we can start to see some innovations. We still use harness that are basically the same since 30 years, plus the come from windsurfing. Hard shells and sliding rope at least marked a step up in the wave game. New mystic stealth bar, allowing to use the fixed cen...
