For the sake of all that is decent in the world I kinda hope the user name Staceyk47 isn't just another in your quiver of user names.

That would truly make you kiteboarding's saddest little troll.

Re: Wakeskate and foil

Not light. 8 lbs. Same as a skate. Skate/skim are generally dedicated strapless set ups. Swing weight is more important than overall weight. Short is agile.

I started on a 6' 1" board that weighs the same. The skim is 3' 7" and it makes all the difference in the world.

Re: Wakeskate and foil

I sealed my mast and also ride fresh water. It has a double thick deck pad so floats well, but is still quite low profile in the water. Black would be hard to spot in certain conditions. I rarely lose track of the board anymore, but at one stage when first learning to get clear on crashes, it was ni...

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

Wellllllll, not really, A domino player would be truly unbiased. You are highly personally invested in one particular niche. Complete with media/merchandise for sale, events organized, and competitions promoted. Whats worse, you harbour a wee tiny bit of a grudge against one particular other niche. ...

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

Lets talk vaguely shall we? As you say, the sport of kiteboarding is pretty varied. We have different styles practiced by different people in different places with different gear and different aims. Kind of like a lot of other sports. It would be a bit strange to have a cycleforum.com run single han...

Re: SupaEZ Where have you been?

OK, pretty clear that is not what Kami meant to say. But just for giggles, I bet there are kiters with that opinion, and I don't think its simple jealousy. Writing critics off as simply jealous seems like a pretty easy way to deflect any meaningful reflection. Especially if they clearly dont aspire ...

Re: My first long swim

Glad your good. Around here, spring is by far the sketchiest season to kite. In my first season foiling, I had imagined a million spring and fall sessions. It took another season or so to realize its not quite how I imagined it. Cold water does weird things to the wind here and normal patterns don't...

Re: Do I bother to get a 60cm mast?

Thats pretty sick with stubby little SUPs. The first time that has looked like its not completely handicapped by swing weight. Lotta bouncing. Glad I have a kite to do the work. I hear what your saying too Peter. Can crank the foil over harder with a bit more strut. Will be interesting to see where ...

The arc of every turn is quicker. Your swinging a shorter axe around down there.
