Re: Looks like Kite racing is back in play with IOC

Number of sports/medals etc seems an entirely arbitrary restriction that case in point can render a competition into a farce.

Re: Lift 2021

If you have one, your all good! Lift don’t seem to have much kite focus in their ethos. Going higher aspect might not be a great move for us. They are finding efficiency for glide, pump, battery life etc. Thin profile is great, but the wing spans are getting bigger than ideal for hiking over with a ...

Re: Just bought a airblast 8.4 wipika

they are dope, You have to do what's called tethered hot launch with those. Loads of youtube on how to do that. Make sure to use something like a toddler or occupied wheelchair to tie off to. Don't worry about a harness. You likely wont survive so might as well save your family the money. Post back ...

Kept the stopper. The line splitter is from an older Slingy bar. I don’t really need a swivel...

Re: Ufo 9m bar, line lentgh and wind range

Horses for courses I guess. I hate long bars. Use 17” (43cm) bars for 3,4,5m peaks and a 20”(50cm) on the 6m. I find that the light bar pressure negates the need for a long bar. Easy enough just to turn your wrist a bit more. 9m will be your big kite. 50cm or 20” is fine. 20m lines also makes sense ...

Re: Lift 2021

Was hoping someone would answer that. I think its pretty big. Last season the surf tail sizes were 34 40 50. I don't really know, but have the 170 and think the tail is likely the 50.

Re: Hey, look at my new toy!

OP,

Your new toy looks to have a bit more kick in the tail but carries a little more width into the tail bloc. Be interested to hear how you find it. Nice upgrade from that crazy wing wing wing pin!

Looks sweet.

Re: When will Aluula make it to other brands?

Would imagine they gave themselves a couple years head start. With Covid maybe 3. I kinda wonder what other products a material like this will improve. Inflatable tents, camping/climbing gear. inflatable boards, foldable boats etc. So many of those could stand to shed weight and take higher pressures.
