Re: ocean rodeo mako wide - anyone bought one yet?

I have a Mako wide on order and I HATE crappy pad/strap combos. I hated my UG 06 pads and straps. I really liked the Spleene 07s- they are really easy to install, uninstall, and travel with. So my question is: will any standard pads and straps like DaKine or NSI work with the Mako wide, or is there ...

Re: bike trailer for kiting gear

I have used this with both windurfing and kiting gear -- works great (the watersports trailer with the crossbars).

True that it is not re-setable. Maybe I will tie 3-4 onto some webbing on my fin screw so that I can re-set if one pops. I have the NSI and a FLX 152x44, and it will NOT fit - if I want to use the NSI I only bring a smaller board. I don't think it will fit any of the golf-style bags, although I have not tried them all. It will fit in a Dakine Air Wagon.

Good luck.

When I use a leash, I use a weak link sytem by attaching it with two plastic cable ties (the kind that hold stereo cables together - you can get them at any hardware store). Two seems about right - any kind of really serious stress breaks the cable ties so the board is released. If I just bail or ge...

kitesurfing in the Galapagos- anybody know anything?

I have a chance to spend 3 weeks on San Cristobal in the Galapagos in October. Anybody know anything about wind, lauches, any local kiters, etc? Thanks for any help.
