Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

My one complaint with FS in the hybrid is ditching the attachment rings on the bridle... For me, this is a giant step in the right direction. :D These rings on all my old kites had the ability to entangle the power and control lines. Someone had complained about these rings in the past here too. I ...

Re: Repairing Tears in Kite Bag

Bring it to a tailor shop and have them patch it up. If the material is very thick, like nylon straps, a shoe repair shop can to that.

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 4

I flew Sonic 4 12m and Sonic 3 13m back to back on twintip. Sonic 4 12 was on shorter lines and Sonic 3 was trimmed for stability (B and C are 2cm shortened). Sonic 3 felt racier, it feels more like it sucks itself into the wind. Sonic 4 felt like it jumped a bit higher and felt easier to jump. Neit...

Re: Snowkiting season is on in Norway!

Pretty! Austria had some snow on top last week, but now it’s back to 23 degrees C (I don’t complain summer doesn’t end this year)

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

So far my comparisons are in favor of pure singleskin kites, especially when solo. Yes! I feel the advantage of being able to quickly and easily launch and land single skin kites on your own even unter difficult conditions is not being addressed in hybrid kites. Is it impossible to make a 5th line ...

Re: Inflatable kite wave board?

Inflatable boards have thick rails and wobble. I don’t think that is what you want for surf kiting.

Re: Harness hook broke during kiteloop

Is there a reason why people use metal hooks instead of dyneema loops if they don’t unhook? It seems like an obvious design flaw to use a heavy metal hook that is loaded in an angle instead of light dyneema. It might just come from old windsurfing harnesses, which have to be unhooked. For kite ridin...

Re: Seeking Recommendations for Hydrofoiling Kitesurfing Spots with Consistent Low Winds and Civilization Nearby

Lake Garda is a nice spot for holiday. You can stay in Malcesine and kite in the early morning, then drive to Verona or Trento or Bolzano and spend a day there.

Morning kites at Garda are pretty:

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5

While looking through pictures of used peak 5s, a pattern arises: the holes in those triangles that attach the canopy to the bridle, they tend to fray and rip. Not on my peak 5s though and I am NOT careful, but on many kites on offer. So either people fly peaks way overpowered, which is wrong. Or th...
