Re: trimless bar setup for racing?

Looking forward to seeing it. My wife is a patent attorney in Australia if you have some decent innovations you want to protect. Be warned, it's not cheap though... $10k just for Australian protection...

Re: Line Check FS Soul?

Well I use the ozone foil bar which only has one pigtail knot which is set to be an equal length to the centre lines pigtails.

However the foil bar has about 60cm of trim...

Re: New to Soul, Which Bar?

I have done probably 1000 x kite loop jumps on my Ozone Enduros and 500 x loops on my Souls also using an ozone bar with the latest chicken loop over the last 7 months. Safety has unintentionally popped once but not when jumping, I was doing a surface trick and must have knocked it. Donkey dick has ...

Re: the art of the loop!

Soul 12m generates crap loads of power in a loop. Loop it so wide that the kite almost hits the water I.e. the widest possible arch and make sure you sheet the bar out as soon as the kite is half way through the loop and on the way back up. If you haven't done this sort of loop before, do not do it ...

Thanks all. I bought a set of these this afternoon with the tracker bar that turns left and right to help with toeside angles. See how they go...

Seat harness better for foiling?

I sold my seat harness about 6 years ago and never looked back (waist harness nowadays). If you're into freeride foiling is there advantage or disadvantage of a seat harness? I'm still using a hook harness, no spreader bar but maybe I could get a second waist harness with a spreader / rope...? Thoug...

Re: What to replace enduros with?

Bandit is crap for unhooking but awesome for foiling, waves and boosting. Not so great for kiteloops as it's a bit gutless (pivotal loops). You could try the GTS5 that's probably slightly better for unhooking (effotless kitekoops) but wont quite match the enduro for waves and foiling. Fx I haven't f...

Re: Peter Lynn Nova

I've tried the 12m and I own the FS Soul 12m. Back to back it flew more confidently in light wind and could park at 45 degrees when the Soul was back stalling and needed the odd downloop to get back to 45 degrees. I agree that it's a bit faster, has a little more low end but is slower turning. Relau...

Re: Flag-out Question

I've never had to safety release using the Soul but on the weekend I was testing a new bar I modified in the park so I pulled the safety 3x to test it. Results: When pulled at the edge of the window or low to the ground it would flag out and flip onto the ground. Easy to walk up the flagging line, r...
