Bar questions Cabrinha and Ozone

Hi all, I'm replacing the lines sets on two bars with non-oem ones. Couple of questions please: Cabrinha When all four lines are disconnected from the bar and laid out under tension, the four lines do not appear to be the same length on the 2017 Cabrinha bar with trimlite. On my bar, the centre line...

Re: Lets discuss ear protection

Pretty unlucky to happy whilst foiling. I always wear my Gath helmet with the full face visor. It's great for the intense sun here in Australia, stopping the foil from slicing your head open, keeping you warm in winter and protecting your ear drums. I do freestyle and big air kitelooping on my twin ...

Re: Hydrofoil skill progression steps

Sorry slight highjack. Now that i can foil ok(ish) my main progression goal is to be able to ride rodeo past my twin tip friends, giving them a casual wave when they're struggling to get going in light wind.

Re: Relaunching a wet foil kite

Thanks Horst, I didnt realise it is so easy to damage the canopy / stitching. Great tips, I've never been that patient and given up long before. I foil in Port Phillip bay Melbourne and like to explore all around the place which can see me get up to 6-10 km offshore. I have been caught twice on my o...

Thanks all and Horst Sergio especially for the second video on relaunch technique. The Soul does get great reviews and is better priced than the Chrono. Cheers.

Re: Relaunching a wet foil kite

Sorry one other comment, in light wind (7-8 knots)if i do drop my kite I also noticed that with 23m lines it takes ages for the kite to drift on the water downwind of me and get the lines tensioned so that I can start to attempt the relaunch. By this tine there is already lots of water in the kite. ...

Relaunching a wet foil kite

Hi all. Correct technique question for a newbie to foil kites: When your foil kite goes down in light wind, takes on some water and is too heavy to do a directly down wind, centre line tug hot launch, should you: Try to pivot the kite onto a wingtip and drain the water out? I have an Ozone Hyperlink...

Need some advice on foil kites please (mostly Ozone related)

Hi crew - new to the forum but a long time reader. Really awesome knowledge on this site, so thanks to all for your contributions. I have a couple of questions that I'd love to put to the group around kite selection please (mostly Ozone based sorry). First, a bit on my profile and what I'm trying to...
