Re: How to untangle a hydrofoil from a bar

Also much less of an issue with peaks that tend not to fall out of the sky, and don't go into deathloop like an inflatable. Dropping an inflatable into the water when you crash a hydrofoil is a recipe for danger. One of the key skills for foiling has got to be keeping the kite in the air at all time...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I've been really enjoying the peaks with a high aspect surf foil made for pumping, an Axis 1010. The foil sits in the pocket of swell, goes a bit slower, and allows the peak to hang like magic as I'm riding swell. When I returned to shore today, after a great downwinder, the tide was running into th...

Re: High wind foiling

I never liked my uno 4m at all, it wasn't stiff enough despite over inflation, and was very unpredictable. I was glad to get rid of it. The peak 3m is way better in strong wind. Handles gusts with aplomb, and doesn't surge with power when you don't need it. Takes some skill to fly, a couple of sessi...

Re: Armstrong Foil is junk

Armstrong use a taper fit for the front wing, but not a true taper fit as the assembly bottoms from new so any wear will result in slop, rather than the taper moving further in and remaining tight. The black paste you are seeing is worn carbon, coming from the movement of the worn front wing. It is...

Re: Board Size Guidance

Would a wing foiling board be also suitably sized for SUP foiling when there is no wind? I'd like to paddle 500m to 1km out to a sandspit break.

Windsurfing->kiteboarding->kitefoiling->windfoiling->wingfoiling for me. I'm still mostly windfoiling though.
What do you like about wind foiling, compared to kite foiling?

Re: I'm not convinced (but want to be)

This is what R Naish has to say about winging https://www.iksurfmag.com/issue82/?page=81 Robby says "The windsurfers and surfers are crossing over, but the kiters seem to be the last guys to cross over. If you're already kiteboarding in a place where you have the conditions, and you have space, you...

Re: Peak 4 control bar

Any 4 line bar with equal line length is fine. I use modified cabrinha bars with my peaks. How did you modify the bars? I have only flown Cabrinha, and have no idea what to do with one of these kites with the many bridles. I am heavily invested in Cabrinha and if I don't need to buy another bar, th...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hello all, I searched the thread, but found only 8 occurrences of "fifth line", so took the courage to ask hoping it's not an old question... How many fly the Peak 4 without a fifth line, and how do you feel re: safety and landing? I like the Connect bar's simplicity and low weight, but for my larg...
