you take apart your foil to transport it?
Yes, always take my foil apart after a session.
It would be easy to make a mount for the trailer to hold an assembled foil board on top, but I wanted to be able to lock my gear inside, and usually disassembled it for the car anyway.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

It was a nightmare to recover it (and over 1h to untangle it afterwards), even though I could touch with my feet... can't imagine it happening in deeper waters. Very recently a friend had to eject a bit farer from the shore, and kite+bar sank and were lost forever :o Strange creatures, the Peaks. A...

Re: Using A Bicycle To Go To Beach With Hydrofoil

Could post a photo of your setup? It's 1.1m long to fit my 1m pocket board and mast, 60cm wide to fit my foil wing, with ample room for wetsuit, peaks, etc. Weighs about 30kg all up with gear in it. The trailer is a Burley flat bed. The panels are ACM, which is thin aluminum bonded to a polyethylel...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hello all, I searched the thread, but found only 8 occurrences of "fifth line", so took the courage to ask hoping it's not an old question... How many fly the Peak 4 without a fifth line, and how do you feel re: safety and landing? I like the Connect bar's simplicity and low weight, but for my larg...

Re: Using A Bicycle To Go To Beach With Hydrofoil

I tow my foil setup on a burley trailer behind an ebike, and it's faster to get to the beach than sitting in traffic in a car in peak hour. The ebike makes the 8km ride each way enjoyable, even in a 30 knot headwind. I built a covered trailer with aluminum composite panels that the guy cut to size ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Fair enough palmbeacher- good to show that they don't suit everyone. But I am having a hard time to understand this comment: Drifting is ok, but my Drifters are imo superior. You must mean something different to what I usually think of as drift. The magic happens on the peak when you ride towards i...

Re: Ram air first session damage

Might be a good time to try a peak 4 while the HL is in the repair shop? Single skins can handle a lot more abuse, they are cheaper, more playful, and they won't fall in the water so easily.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Anyone have any recommendations on how to recover a small Peak 4 after slacking the lines? I’m 6 sessions in on the 5m and really enjoying the kite. It is my first foil kite. I’m 75 kg and riding the Cloud 9 X24 foil (1138 sq-cm). I was out on my 5m Peak 4 yesterday in really light wind (barely any...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

The problem I'm having is the Peak will suddenly without warning just fold up..this happens when I am not moving, just sitting in the water with the board on my feet or floating by board getting ready to put it on my feet. Probably getting some big holes in the wind, or swirls or whatever, and the ...
