Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Jatem: Not a great source for that question. I kite mostly in 2-4 feet of water. Looking for deeper water but it's a struggle without getting into very questionable situations. I routinely drive my foil into the bottom on a 24" mast. Self rescued a LEI 2 weeks ago in deep water and didn't think it ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

You guys are killing me here. I was considering adding a 12 meter Soul for light wind days (surf wing, 80kg) and using my 5 meter FS4 for 12+ knots. Now I'm not sure if I should try a larger Peak. I kite in a lot of questionable wind shadows and am very often dropping my Neo. Thoughts? I purchased ...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Dont buy bigger than 5 Have you tried the 8m on the water tomtom? The 5m is amazing at 10 knots but I'd like something for 8-9 knots too. A friend has purchased the peak 8m, and hopefully I'll use it in 8-10 knots some time. The 8m peak turns a lot slower, and it has a lot more pull. After flying 3...

Re: About real small pocket boards < 1 m, benefits and limits

But as said, even with the low experience in waves I have. I am sure to cross white water bigger size is important. I have been happy here with my old exo 125 x 44 cm, but have some doupts if my actuall 110 x 40 cm will be big enough. But it is also much about the shape. The volume race shape in th...

Re: Foil vs LEI: how does the riding differ

Riding a 1m pocket board on a 900cm2 wing, which I use for carving around in swell. Usually kiting at an open beach, or a large harbour. Prefer windy days up to 30 knots, but also go out in 9-10 knots. Moved through a bunch of different LEIs, 5 strut, single strut, wave. Never liked the weight, cons...

Well... I have several BRM CCS bars here as I've been on Clouds for 3 years. But.... Don't we need a "cleat style" or some kind of trim adjuster? None of my CCS bars have trim adjusters.
They will work just fine without a trim adjuster.

Re: New to Soul, Which Bar?

I use a BRM style bar with a Soul 10m, and it has plenty enough trim range. In light wind you can grab the steering lines to land it by back stalling, the balls on the lines aren't required. In stronger wind, land it on the side of the window with a helper.

I know it sound super crazy and it require some advanced line management but peak is only kite on which i ev...

Re: Jackson with Rebel, Evo or Soul for Beginner?

I have a Shinn Jackson and choice of 5-line Rebel, Evo and Soul kites. Let’s say they’re all same size. First outing...with Rebel..kite kept falling out the sky on a reasonably windy day. Wasn’t expecting that. Pain in the arse when trying focus on riding the Jackson. If I go out tomorrow, which ki...
