Re: Should I go for foil?

Yes, It's no-brainer that the foil kites are better in light wind. But the big question is if me as I newbie can handle the foil or I should stick the to LEI until I gain more experience and then switch to foil. Or I can continue learning directly on a foil in LW. It's more about confident level of...

Re: Should I go for foil?

Light wind foil kite is a good investment. Better than going for 17m LEI. But you must be aware that you trade comfort of LEIs for performance. Handling foil kites require practice and some skills that you won't achieve handling the LEI kites. You'll learn how to check and prepare bridles, and how t...

Re: Foil kite comparison- which to buy?

Used foil kites are tricky, especially if you buy it as your very first foil kite. The main concern is bridles, how shrunk and worn they are. As a new foil kiter you won't be able to asses how bad things are or how to tune it yourself. Especially with Chrono, that doesn't have adjustable mixer, so i...

Re: Crazyfly Releases Their 2020 Products

With each year they make less kites. RIP Tango and Cruze. Weren't exactly their bestsellers I think. Better to give more love to less models in that case. Hyper in bigger sizes are a good alternative to the Cruze I think. They stay in the air very good. Makes sense. Although I'd say Cruze 17 and Hy...

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2019

We still gotta figure out how Aluula would handle freezing temperatures, when foil kites handle cold better than LEIs.

Re: Leaving bar attached to foil kites: why do lines twist?

my biggest issue with packing the bar attached to the kite is that it's either wet or/and has tons of sand on it. Don't you guys rinse your bars in freshwater and dry them? If you wrap the kite around a wet bar, like shown in latest flysurfer videos, I'd guess you'll end up with some mold, line shr...

Re: “That guy is dangerous”

Actively discouraging the use of safety equipment is an indication of the exact kind of attitude that gets you killed, other kiters injured, endangers rescue crews, and results in kiteboarding bans. Just because you desperately want to look cool, does not mean you should shame others for being brav...
