Re: Kite Repair Advice - Leading Edge and Bladder Damage

For the bladder, you can make a decent repair with "Tear-Aid type a." I once ruined the LE bladder on my week-old 2010 Cabrina trying to inflate it with a scuba tank and the incorrect nozzle. I removed it, laid ot flat and used this product, and the repair outlast the life of the kite. It probably w...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I'd like to reiterate a point i have made at least a couple of times in this thread. The reason that the larger peak4s lose their magic is this: Even though all of the peaks can fly very well with good control in only a few knots, or maybe only a couple knots... in light wind you can only go straigh...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

From a hydrofoiling point of view, the problem with the peak4s 8 meter and larger is that there just is not enough room at the lower wind ranges to blast straight downwind and and still maintain the 2-3 knots apparent wind it takes to keep the kite in the air. If you switch to, say, a surfboard, and...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I've been thinking about this, maybe too hard. Surely even the peaks are in carrying along some mass of air too? Way less for sure, but we need an engineer to work this out and improve our (my) weak grasp on reality. Out of interest, I took the time to weigh my kites fairly carefully: You just measu...

Re: Good kite for boat

No worries,Billie, you know I love you! I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about getting what meOlsoe really wants, but I haven’t figured it out yet, and neither have the companies that have spent a bunch of time and money trying to figure it out. The requirements for a kite boat, in my opinion, is s...

Re: Good kite for boat

Auto -zenith, is dangerous ; are you on Fricken Drugs ? Bille Not right now, but that is beside my point 😜. If you look through the accident database compiled by Rick Iossi, there were several _serious_ accidents that were a direct result of the auto-zenith feature when arc-style kites were u...

Re: Good kite for boat

I don't think there is any product available, past or present, which meets meOlsoe's desire. Sure, some of the arc-style kites had auto-zenith, but for kitesurfing this turned out to be a dangerous feature and probably the main reason this style of kite is no longer available today. No way you could...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Average weight rider (75kg) , standard 21m lines, 1000-1200 cm2 wing, minimal skill. 5m: 12 knot start 4m: 16 knot start 3m: 20 knot start With practice you can pull off lower start for the smaller two, but those are simple right out of the bag first session recommendations that can be scaled up or...

Re: How to make a carbon design

It's probably paint sprayed on over the carbon.
