I have a Slingshot 15M fuel to give to a local rider. It is well used, but holds air and flys great. Those are four foot waves. Three foot waves are barely rideable, except on a longboard.

Kiting is not easy on the hips ... transferring the pull of the kite to the board while edging hard puts a fair amount of strain on the hips.

Water droplets on the glasses ... something you just get used to.

Fogging ... the wind clears up fogging. Try a smaller pair of glasses that doesn't wrap around.

Retainers ... Chums work great, even going through the rinse cycle at Waddell.

It's best to control the kite with the bar. If the kite goes down in light wind, pull the safety, play out the safety line (bar floats downwind). Then reel in the bar by the safety line. Disconnect the leash. Wrap the safety line only around the bar. Now one line is shorter and the kite won't relaun...
