Re: Naish Torch 2019 & 2020

Can't say much about the Torch as my last model was a 2008, but seems to me that those "legacy" kites hasn't changed much over the years, besides some fine tuning. The Vegas, for example, hasn't changed in the last 6 or 7 years. Maybe C kites have evolved as much as they can with current technology

From which jumping height the heliloop is mandatory?

Pretty straight forward question. As I can see, is impossible to land a really big jump without a heliloop. But from which height it becomes really mandatory? 10m?
Thoughts?

Re: Ilha Do Guajiru, Cumbuco and Jeri... kite size?

If you're staying in Jeri and Ilha do Guajiru, a 9 only (specially a Rebel) will be fine. If you're heading further southeast, then you should bring your 12 too. I usually take only my 9m Vegas, but it doesn't hurt to take a bigger one just in case. In your case I would choose the 12, the 10 doesn't...

Re: Brazil - Sao Miguel do Gostoso (Rio Grande do Norte)?

Good day Kiteforum users :D any useful advice on the Brazilian areas of São Miguel do Gostoso (state of Rio Grande do Norte) ? I've already collected a lot of information about the wind, the best months, etc. My plan is to go there around mid/end January when in the Ceara the wind starts to be less...

Re: Down Loop practice

All the above is true. Cranking the bar, pulling hard and keeping the bar almost parallel to the lines, pointing the board downwind, and the most important: always, always commit! If you stop the pull in the middle of the loop you're definitely going to crash. I would add a small hint also. When doi...

Re: North Vegas or Dice!

Resurrecting this topic because I wanted to know the impression of someone that tested both 2020 Vegas and Dice. I've been riding Vegas for many years, but lately I realized that more and more Duotone riders are migrating for the Dice, and leaving the Vegas behind. I read that the Dice this year is ...

Thanks Toby,

I think I will go more south of Fortaleza for some airstyle kitesurfing. Cauipe has become way too busy...Have you been to Parajuru ?
Great, just be aware to use a kite at least 4 sizes bigger

Re: 13m Kites..... why so few?

For me the 13m makes a lot of sense. My basic kite, which I use in almost 80% of the time is a 9m. I use it from it's very low end untill it's high end. Also, I have a bigger version, 13m. Why would I have a 12 if I use the biggest one basically for low end performance? And bigger than 13...we'll, i...
