Oh yeah, and while I'm venting a bit. What's the deal with Flexifoil's Atom bar? This is the second chicken line that has broken, the first one broke while I was kiting among hundereds of sharks ("ohh this is just great"). This new one had like 6 sessions under its belt! 6 sessions!?! There must be...

What I find really interesting about this photo is how the profile of the trailing edge is really flat through the middle section of the kite. It doesn't flare at all like a lot of the other flat kites out there.

I can see that looks like unsettled weather but what exactly about the scene in the pic says updraft? Forgive my ignorance - I'm no weather expert. :thumb:

My bar has lasted fine. I've had it since late 05 and used it regularly for two seasons. Its slightly agricultural and basic but the equipment does the job. For sure 07 stuff is better but the 06 bar was ok.

They certainly are soft but I found they didn't give much arch support and so went back to my old straps & pads.

However when you pop the board the tips don't flex enough to make the board stick. Also the flare out th...

What about the Turbo Diesel debacle? How did that manufacturer handle their poor design? Still in denial? While not wanting to defend SS for the issues they've had with the TD and the Link, neither of these can be compared to the misinformation deliberately distributed during the hellfish debacle. ...

or potentially "the suckerfish". While I agree that Best did what they had to in refunding buyers kites the whole incident revealed a lot about the company. For those that came late, as I recall it: They made claims about kite size and weight which were found to be inconsistent with kites sold to th...

I still find it usefull to have a little trainer lying around. You can use it to teach friends the basics safely. They can also be fun in on the very light days where a big LEI won't fly properly but a small ram-air will just hang in the air.
