Spork don't call me names, for goodness sake, I am just outlining some arguments. To break down the vegas analogy, you are talking cumbersome (to me at least) math against a five or eight deck shoe. I don't think you can do the same tricks against a million year (or billion year) shoe. That's all I ...

How much oil is there? How much is forming right now? How do we know? How much more carbon comes out of cows? A volcano? How hot will it be on June 3, 2018? This stuff just brings out the devil's advocate in me, so many assertions, so little knowledge, sorry. I favor sequestering carbon in nylon, sp...

$400 for a pump. I would rather spend it on fine food and drink. Or a board, kite, bar, wetsuit, plane ticket..... 16 m kite maybe 10m LE bladder avg diam 10-20cm =>100-120L (math). Plus struts so maybe 150-200L total. You would be pretty lucky to fill a kite with a 10L tank off a truck type compres...

I go with full gloves for protection. Skin peels off just like a glove, but harder to replace. I know the question was more on skin injury, but gloves work well. Gill are ok and reasonable $. They are comfy from 30C down to to 8-10C or so, when colder add a pair of latex gloves under (surgical or cl...

OK, Warmers, here I come. Air pollution is a big, big problem, as is water pollution. Pollution has proven harmful effects on most or all forms of life. We should fight pollution. That is a positive political, ideological and social goal that can help the world. It is not science, but science proves...

linecrawler review

I've enjoyed testing the linecrawler, and played with it at home a bit and when I went kiting a couple of times. The linecrawler was nice to walk out the lines, and better than using a piece of flotsam to keep the ends in order like I used to do. Unfortunately it was only marginally helpful in undoi...

Writing Levine, YouTube GC. BTW guys, quoting me is a touch obnoxious, I feel bad commenting about a child anyway. See above. Grateful if you take out your quotes.

Back to the question, typical laminate sailcloths are sheets of polyester film sandwiching whatever intermdiate to hi modulus scrim threads in an adhesive matrix. Like monofilm, laminates can be repaired easily with film tapes using a strong acrylic adhesive. 3M 3150 box packing/storage tape works v...
