Re: Best van for kitesurfing/camping

You are looking at a much older and smaller, probably US-made, van that will be unreliable. Most people I see doing this, for example, at Cape Hatteras or the Gorge, have a Mercedes Sprinter or the US equivalent. Those cost a lot more. Mercedes Sprinters are unreliable junk. Be prepared to pay a lo...

Re: Bad crash

Big ego with complacency is when kiting puts people in their place. Hope it didn’t result in a trip to the er. Windsurfers also need to carry hook knives.

Re: What a piece of shit town

Hood River is awesome! Sounds like you had a bad experience because of the covid Situation. Access to kite launches, parking, etc is a mess all up and down the west coast because of covid. Just be happy they still allow kiting unlike other places.

Duotone Line replacements

I bought a 2020 duotone bar and keep breaking the centerlines. My latest Duotone replacement Lines are worn and look like they’re going to break soon. I am looking for better quality aftermarket lines. Any recommendations on what to use for the line below the Y? This is where the Original Duotone li...

Re: Core Sensor 3 Pro

there is that overpowered scenario when you do not what to grab a center line with your bare hand.. you either tether land or flag the kite.. but if it's not that, there is very little difference in landing core Y vs any low V.. Only difference is know which side your flag line is on when self land...

Re: minor leader adjustments with knots

I have done that lots of times without problem in 3mm dyneema. Had plenty of leaders and pigtails with adjustment knots on the loaded side of the one I am using for years. I believe the strength loss will be less if you use fig 8 rather than simple overhand but have never seen any real data on that...

Re: Duotone 2021

What is the changes to the Duotone lines? Is this the bar lines? I just bought a 2020 Trust bar. I actually like the lines. Super easy to unravel. Be careful. Duotone lines wear easy and break. Very unreliable lines. Duotone should be focused on improving their bar. It’s not safe. https://www.wetes...

Re: How to survive a 5th line wrap in the middle and death loop?

A few weeks ago I was on a Core kite with the High Y in the bar. I noticed that the flag out line was getting twisted and I had no way to untwist it. This was on the Sensor 2 bar don't know if they have fixed it. A overly twisted flag out line will not work as intended. Be mindful of that while rid...
